    Miller Yamaha... and Wheels

here  is the thread discussing my wheel dilemma.  Calling the dealer now, is more than likely a waste of time as I have already began to pursue this matter legally, but here is the dealer info regardless...I spoke with Ernie Miller and he stated that he was the dealer principal.

I propose many of us call from various parts of the country to express our concerns and to let them know this is spreading all over the web. It's can't hurt. Dave, we need your last name and the name of your sales rep.

I ordered parts for my wife's 2007 Raptor 350 quad from Miller's Yamaha off eBay.  Let me tell you, nothing but problems.  They sent me parts for a mid 90's Warrior quad and tried to say I ordered the wrong parts.  Took me over a month to get the correct parts.  Actually, they took individual parts off the shelf to make up the twist throttle, airbox and jet kits.  Not sure if they were just trying to screw with me or not.  At least I finally got everything I needed.  I also had problems from my local yamaha dealer in WA.  It's amazing what the threat of the BBB and State Attorney General's office will do.  Dealer's don't want negative marks on their BBB rating.  Also, after receiving a letter from the Attorney General's office, the gladly took care of me.  Good luck.

I missed if you said you bought it new with essentially zero miles, or how many miles it had on it when you bought it. Embarrassed

In case this is overlooked from the other post...

    "Pep,

I know Jeff Cernic, the owner of Cernic's, and if he found out something like this he would be furious and do whatever it took to resolve the problem without hesitation. I used to race motocross and even though I was on a Kaw, which he didnt sell, he did everything he could for ANY & EVERYONE at the track EVERY weekend regardless of what brand they rode. He also sponsors national caliber riders and would never let anything that happened at either of his dealerships tarnish his impeccable reputation, just ask Travis Pastrana, John Dowd...etc. etc.

I also grew up going to Pymatuning Lake where my grandparents had a cottage and knew the owner and another close friend of the family who worked at Street Track and Trail and am confident that they also would never stand for this B.S.

I'm not busting your cajones I just know that bad press gets spread quicker and further than good press and wanted to voice my $.02 about reputable dealers that I know and have dealt with with outstanding results...

Mike...I wish I would have bought from Cernic then.. I actually got a call back today from a guy at Yamaha US Headquarters....He told methat he spoke to the dealer and I according to the dealer.... I bought an 07 with 04 wheels...the 04 has since been sold... I also got a discount on the bike, I took it for a test drive and if there was a problem I should have brought it up before I left.  I asked him to send me a letter stating that the 04 wheels are safe to run with the radial calipers and he refused, and then stated  that if I wanted this it would be best if I had legal counsel contact them....So from Yamaha...I was told to go fly a kite....

I got a decent price on a leftover, I bought a BRAND NEW bike (as per the bill of sale) when I went to the dealer, it had not even been setup yet, after setup, the tech took it for a test ride and I drove off the lot with 3 miles on the odometer..Tired of the lies so....the saga continues......

    Mike,
Thanks for the heads-up on Cernic. I've edited my post with reference to them.

Thats some bad business practice right there.  Just keep pushin.  You push hard enough and talk to the right people as you have(BBB, Att. Gen., etc.)you're bound to get some effect.  It's just not right that you should have to go through this kind of crap.

I will give a bump though for Unlimited Cycles in Tipton, PA.  Pretty good size star dealer.  I got my '08 warrior there for 2 grand under msrp.  The owner's name is Ron(I believe it is perhaps owned by two ppl?  not sure.  Ron is the only one I know).  After I got my bike Dad decided he wanted a bike again, talked to Ron and a week later he called to let us know that he was trading in his 06 roadliner 1900 with 1500miles.  Ended up getting that one.  Very good ppl.

I can give an evaluation of the service department tomorrow.  The bike is in for first maintinence.

    -Good luck man.

So was there any kind of disclaimer or addendum in the sales contract notifying you that this WASN'T a stock '07?  To hop on a bike and take a test drive there could be tons of things I didn't notice that could have been swapped out.  We're not talking about a different color tank here.  Sure, it would be obvious to an existing Warrior owner but someone who wasn't very familiar with them at the time would likely never catch that unless they took a brochure and compared it right up against the bike.  Keep at it because it's just not reasonable at all if they didn't tell you or have you sign something that states the change was made.
