Warrior and a Victory 8 Ball

OK, so this coming July 12th there is going to be a group of co-workers with bikes going for a ride.  All sorts of different bikes.   Of course being a guy and a Warrior owner, I'm checking out all the other bikes to see if there is any of them that could hang with the Warrior.  The only one I'm concern about it a Victory 8 Ball.  The owner has after markert pipes (don't know what brand) a Power Commander and running K & N Filters.   I have the PCIII, V&H Long Shots and stock air filters.  I know on the twisties he don't have a chance cause those bikes are a little too top heavy and I'm a little more experiance rider.  So here is the question, do you guys think he can take me on a straight strech??

I went heads up with my buddy's 2007 Kingpin.  He has Stage 1 kit, Hi-Flow Air kit and a bunch of chrome.  I've got Speedstar Air Scoop (Whoop - pee) and Big Shots and hung with him just fine.

Dad's dream........to be able to have the same lifestyle as his wife and children.

My buddy has an 04 Vegas with the 92" and stage 1.  i have Churchkeys VBAK, ProPipe, PC111, 31 tooth pulley, dyno tuned to 85hp and 107tq.  Our bikes are very close but he can pull me once his rpms get up.  not by much but he does.  i outweigh him by 40lbs also.  i have high comp. pistons and cams to install next week and i'll let you all know how it turns out!!

My Dad owns the '07 Victory Vegas Jackpot. Stock 100 c.i. It has the Ness pipes and ECU remap. He's 60 lbs lighter than I am. My Warrior walks away nice a rude like.

Warrior should take it in most cases, but it wont be a romp, just ride and have fun and dont worry about it

I haven't ridden with a Vegas but I have ridden one. Power was good but I wouldn't know what was better unless they were side by side. I liked the Vegas, however, and would take one over a HD in a heartbeat... Prior to buying my Warrior I test rode both bikes and bought the Warrior without looking back. Let us know how it goes.

I'm so happy I can't even feel my arms!

FYI - the 92" vic motors are gernerally stronger than the 100".  ie/ a 92" Vic with a stage II (big bored to 100") will generally walk a newer 100" with stage 1.  the 92" have bigger valves.  this is straight from the Vic forums.  The warrior will have more torque but the Vics make big HP.

No your warrior will be faster in a straight line.  My buddies Victory Vegas with stage 2 kit, is just a little slower in stop light drag races(which have on occasion gone into the triple digits).  and my warrior is close to stock-performance wise.  Spank him and tell us about it.

Forgiveness is between them and god....it's my job to arrange the meeting.

I want to see how this one turns out because I wanted both bikes then I sat on the warrior and fell in love. I would like to have the 6th gear of the victory but I love the pure torque of the warrior. I think you will take him but let us know how it turns out.

You said you're the more experienced rider?  I'd put my money on you confidently then.  I really like most of the Victorys but I don't think that 8 ball would be quite enough to beat a Warrior without a little more done to it.  Let us know how it turns out for sure though and maybe toss in some pics.

Thank you for your input.  It sounds like I should be ok.  I'll try to remember to take my camera and take pictures.

I wouldn't run him until you got rid of the stock air filters.  When I put on Churchkeys V-Back i noticed a big difference in power.  Without the V-bak my buddies vegas would pull me pretty good.  If you keep the race short and sweet you'll beat him.  if it's longer he should reel you in. If he's a good rider.  If you're good you'll break his confidence in the short run and he won't try to catch you!!

    Any news on this race?

Ride hard, ride safe. Feels like i've got two cylinders from a 408 between my legs!

so its been a while, sorry no internet at home just at work and at work it does not let me log on.  Anyways, I got to go heads up with the 8 Ball, but it just could not keep up.  That was on the straight, then came couple twisties and that's all she wrote for him.  I was nice thought, I only got a few miles away from him then pulled over and waiting for him.
