I'm tempted.  How loud is it?  I don't want too much noise.

EDIT: Nevermind.  I just bought it.  It looks nice in the photo.  If it's too loud, I'll sell it.

    Re: barons sport nasty slip-on

I got my slip-on today.  Got it installed.  They even provided an OEM exhaust gasket.  The design is rather simplistic.  It's basically a straight pipe with a 2-3 inch layer of packing.  So I went to the Home Despot and bought another Danco crumb cup (I used them on the HK's and the Jardine slip-on to good effect).  The muffler can be completly disassembled with an Allen wrench.  The tip of the muffler is rubber and it slips off with the help of a knife or chisel.  With the rubber off, I was able to make some bends in the perforated tube with needlenose pliers.  Then I inerted the crumb cup and put the rubber tip back on.  It's firmly in place.  Then I drilled out the center hole and finished it off with a grinder and some balck spray paint.

The assembly was straightforward but I did have some material problems.  They provided three nuts and a bolt for the mount and the nuts were too big for the bolts.  I had two of the right-size nuts in my toolbox and got the bracket onto the lower waterheater stay, but had to spend twenty minutes looking for a matching nut and bolt for mounting the muffler.  Got it all in place and rode.  It sounds nice.  The volume of air being moved is about the same as my Jardine slip-on, but there is a lot more insulation in this can, so the note is noticeably quieter.  I like it .  It fits my preference.  I'm not really into the whole being loud thing.  I don't care if everyone else does it.  I think loud bikes sound cool, but I don't want a loud bike.

I have the VBAK and am running Tim's map (from the PCII maps section - the one that RXWarrior posted as an image so you have tomanually input the values) with the entire 0% column set at 0.  It's pulling well, especially from about 1500 RPM and up.

My opinion is that this can is worth the $163.24 I paid, but it's definitely not worth the $399.99 they used to charge for it.

I got my wife a digital camera for her birthday.  So now I can make movies.  And post them on Youtube, which I did this morning.

    Enjoy.

One is of my old V-Star, which a friend now owns.  The other is of my Warrior with the Sport Nasty slip-on.
