Speed-Way Motorcycle Shelter - Group Buy (Protects your bike)

My housing arrangements are changing, and I am moving into a condo that does not have a garage, and I was looking for a way to store the bike is a dry, safe and secure manner other than renting a storage unit that I would have to drive to when ever I wanted to go for a ride. My girlfriend ruled out parking it in the livingroom , but I came across a portable motocycle garage, that looks nice, is cost effective and fits my needs.

In my opinion the shelter looks better than a bike cover, and it is securable to the ground essentially reserving your parking spot (condo association approved!), and it protects my bike from curious eyes, the elements, and even cars from parking to close. I also like the fact that it does not touch the paint or chrome, it's lockable, and I can drive the bike in even when the engine and exhaust is warm, and not have to come down when the bike cools to cover it up. There are two models, and it looks like the standard model would fit the warrior, but they do reccomend the bigger model for our bikes. I will verify this.

I looked for a local dealer, and it is over four hours away, so I called the manufacturer, and he is willing to provide a group discount if I can get an order of 10 or more. The website is below. For those interested, the prices would be roughly 15% below the MSRP, including shipping directly to your door. They will include the overhead light as well. If you want the floor mat, that would be extra, but we should be able to get a discount on that too.

Group Buy on Fork Covers for 06+ Warriors

OK, I want chrome fork covers for my '07 Warrior and I do not want to cut the forks myself, nor buy a set of covers and have someone cut them 1/8' to short. So I called BMS today to see if they would trim the covers for me. They are interested.

I am looking at getting the brushed metal covers cut, and have BMS chrome and powder coat them, if possible. BMS stated they can cut the smooth and ball mill chrome covers without damaging the chrome.

I am wondering how many others with a '06 or later Warrior would be interested in fork covers as a group buy. I do not know the cost but if we can get enough interest, maybe BMS can do this for closer to the retail cost of the fork covers.

New Wicked Bros Exhaust Info. "GROUP BUY"

I just got off the phone with Doug from Wicked Bros. Exhaust in Mesa Arizona. He said these pipes for the Warrior are a fairly new product for them. Here are the questions I asked and the answers I got:

QUESTIONS FROM FIRST PHONE CALL WITH WICKED BROS EXHAUST.

1. Are these actually made for the Warrior? Yes.

2. Do they have heat shields? Yes, they have full heat shields, only a small section right near the head is not shielded and might show bluing.

3. Do they have a stepped header design? No.

- He mentioned pipe sizes of 1 3/4" and 2" are used in fabrication.

- Some can't be used with stock right side air box.

- Can choose between chrome finish or black ceramic coated.

- First 3 are going for $599.00 / Group Buy price so far is $549.00 + free shipping.

QUESTIONS WERE ARE WAITING TO GET ANSWERED.

1. Will any of these choices scrape in right hand turns?

He has the slim HID kit for 100.00 so your half will be 50.00 i will pay for shipping to you as long as it is under 5.00 which i am sure it will be.

I installed this kit on my ZX10R and it was simple. And extremely well made!!!! And the ballast is tiny!!

I talked to him yesterday and he said he can only sell in sets. So here is your chance to get a HID kit for your warrior.

I will be open to any suggestions on what color temp to go with i have had the 8,000K and loved them.

There is no comparison from a standard H4 bulb to an HID...

Hey I ordered a wicked bros exhaust though Low and Mean (www.lowandmean.com) and they offer a $50 dollar discount. They want you to send in pictures of the exhaust on your bike for their website, but a small price for the discount. I emailed with the sales department before ordering and they were extremely quick to answer any questions and make the offer. Just email them before ordering and let them know you are a forum member and they will rebate your 50 bucks after ordering. Not sure if they offer a deal on any of their other products but I'm sure they would work with you. I plan on getting one of their chin spoilers in the future so I will post that if I can get a discount on it.

Santa wants to give raked triple trees for Xmas

He guys & gals, since new exhaust, fat azz kit, vbak, custom rear fender, turn sigs, thunder man intake, pcIII and bars aren't going to be enough mods for me this year....I want to go with some raked trees. Not liking current prices, I emailed a manufacturer who deals mostly with HD's and customs. Some of you are familiar and are past customers. I inquired specifically about triple trees, mostly because theirs look outstanding and the price is 1/2 to 1/3 of what us Warrior Dudes are paying.
At first "Steve" wasn't interested for what seemed to be obvious reasons....volume. After informing Steve that this forums members are quite a force, with substantial numbers, he asked that I canvass the forum for interest. That's the nature of my "rare" post.
So, without further ado, said manufacturer is Hammer Custom Cycles. Steve Hammer has been very gracious, has quickly replied to my emails and is genuinely willing to work with us. Directly below, I've attached the correspondence with Steve. If your interested, "post up". As you can see, It's only going to take a (10) pc order to get this off the ground. There was no mention of a one time deal. I think if long term demands/volumes are decent, the price will remain reasonable (of course that's all up the Hammer Custom Cycles). As I mentioned in my email to Steve, I'm just doing some introductions. I have no interest, affiliation or stock in this. And I certainly don't want to accept responsibility if things don't work out for either party. If anyone knows of a reason or reasons, why this shouldn't be pursued, I'm good with that. Again I know of HCC only through posts in this forum and from what I've read, all is positive.
NOTE: Most recent question to Steve was regarding modeling and mock up. I suggested a local (to HCC) guinea pig. If we can get samples to him, they'll be able to reverse engineer for dim and tolerance, but mock up/test is always a good thing. Lots more discussions needed.

I'm interested in a set of 5 or 6 deg triple trees for my 06 Road Star Warrior. Looking at your website, most of your applications are apparently HD related, however there is reference to "customs" and I noticed your obvious machining capability.
So, I'll start with the basic question: Do you manufacture triple trees for the warrior?
I know members of the RSW forum have purchased parts from you but
I haven't come across any info on your triple tress (for the warrior). If this is a possibility, please provide options and pricing. I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Mark. We did get the specs on a set to make them in the future,
but we have so many other HD items that companies order in large amounts and no one has ordered any kind of bulk for those trees, that is why we haven't done them. Should a company call up for them we would be all over it. Sorry we couldn't help you right now.

I figured it was demand/volume related. In the first draft of my email to you I rambled on about that but I figured I'd just let you tell me. I'm actually very surprised that there hasn't been more interest. These Road Stars aren't as "populous" as HD's but there is a very large following. I think there's 10 or so thousand members in the RSW forum alone and that's primarily Warriors. Many members have installed aftermarket trees and many more are interested, but with the going rate of $700.00 to $900.00 per set, many won't take the plunge. There are obviously guys (like Mortons) building trees for Road Star's. Their prices may very well be dictated by volumes but
the market isn't going to move unless a manufacturer enters with a high quality lower priced version. BTW, I'm not a salesman or business owner trying to get into this. Just a guy that loves to customize my bike and would like to do it at a reasonable cost (like the large majority of owners).
Your HD trees look outstanding and the price is incredible. If you were interested, what kind of volumes would be cost effective for you to get into this? This forum that I speak of is a great way to spread the word and get a general sizing for interest.
I know the forum members that have purchased from you, like what you're selling because I've read some comments about your grips etc.
Well, I'll quite pulling your ear. I gotta go try to bargain on some triple trees

Mark you have my attention on this. If you can get 10 guys together that want the same rake of trees, and get me 1 stock set from one of your bikes to check specs on, we will go for it. If you had an aftermarket set already in the rake you need that we could get dems from that would be the fastest and cheapest way to go for all of
us. See what you can do and I will try to work with you if you can get your guys to jump in as well. Selling price should be around the $300-$350 range in chrome, so 1/2 the price of the others.... thanks a lot

Group Buy Discount on HID kits!

EDIT 8/19/08: I talked with John Sharp and we decided due to the extra administration that would be needed, we are just going to offer one group of discounts regardless of the number of orders. Pls refer to the 1-10 discount bracket for prices. Disregard the 10+ bracket pricing.

I have been in the market for an HID kit for the Warrior. I currently have the Genuine Auto HID kit from the last group buy. It lasted me about 18 months. I'm not too happy with it...

Anyways, I got in touch with owner John Sharp of SharpHID Inc. He was very helpful in answering all my questions, and I decided to try one of his kits. It consists of a bi-xenon bulb which retains the HI/LO function of your oem headlight switch, a slim 35W digital ballast, a separate ignitor, and all the necessary harness/wires for a plug n play.

I should receive it later this week so I will know better the mounting choices on our Warriors.

Anyways, we got to talking and I figured I get John to give us a discount. He was gracious enough to do so. They also have 55W kits available with a full range of color temps, etc. Here is a link to his webpage for product info and should answer most of your questions:

I was on the Low and Mean site today and wrote them in regards to a discount for us on the chin fairing. The emailed me back and are offering a discount for all on the chin fairing and mesh in the amount of $75.00. The fairing normally goes for $225 and the mesh is $40. With the discount we can get both for $190 plus shipping. In my opinion thats a hell of a deal for an awesome looking product. They are extending the discount till the end of the month. Its almost like one company is ghosting the other so its confusing but:

I think they are both good places to shop. I got twisted around too. Its like one is ghosting the other.
