I gave them a certified bank loan check for my warrior this year and they called me when I drove it home to MA saying the state police were coming to get me because I had a bad check.. It was a mistake on their part that they should have investigated further.. Shitty customer service- they looked at me as a previos customer rather than a new one. (In the long run an employee tried to cash it without using the company stamp)

They stated though that since they did the work, they back it and the warranty is still good. Being that i've had two major F-ups on the bike from the dealer I don't trust them one bit with my bike.. I have a great custom guy that is willing to help me with cost on some mods... How's my warranty going to hold up?? Anyone know??

Thanks..

Fun Bike Center in San Diego

I had an overall good experience here. My first with a bike dealer. I worked with marcus who is new, but he was knowledgable and was not pushy either.

Action Powersports in Waukesha, Wisconsin - Stay Away

See my other post:

After work on thursday 6/11, the wife, kid, and I head to get the bike, as we're pulling into their lot about 5:30 p.m. (they close at 6), we see somone pulling out of lot on MY BIKE! So trying to keep my cool (I think I did a good job of that) I went in to the service department and said I was there to pick up my warrior. The guy that was there proceeded to look around the shop then as he was headed out the door i told him some guy's out riding it. I stated that I called yesterday and was told it was done and ready to be picked up so why is someone out riding it. He answered that was a good question and informed me he was the one I talked to yesterday and he'll ask why the bikes out. After the bike returned, he asked the mechanic why the bike was out and the mechanic said he was checking a miss that he noticed and just wanted to make sure it was right. I was told this by the first guy I talked to and he assured me they don't just take bikes out for joy rides (although he seemed pretty nervous while telling me this). I asked if there was any paper work and he stated it was Yamaha's and there was no charge for the work. I went to the bike and asked again if the work was done since no marks were made by the vin, which they corrected while I waited. I also asked if all recalls had been done since I asked them on the phone when setting up appointment and when I dropped bike off and was told they'll run the vin and get back to me. Is service in this world really turning into *** like this?!? The whole kicker to the story is as I'm pulling out of garage, the mechanic asked about my forward controls since he's always like warriors but the stock pegs were never comfortable for him. I told him about what I paid and where I got them and started bike and left, the whole time thinking yeah you were checking for a miss.....right. I haven't evn checked their quality work yet but i will soon. So if you want recall work done for 'no charge' and promised they don't joy ride on customer bike go check out Van Wall Motorsports in Indianola, IA. because i won't ever again.

MotorsportSuperStore.com Never Again!!!!

I have been a member of this site for a long time and I think this is my first post. Just wanted to let all the members know; I recieved the worst service EVER from this company! I have purchased all of my parts on line from ebay, dennis kirk and list goes on and on (I am a mod o holic) over the 4 years I have owned my bike. Jason in service and Scott the gm at the dealership do not have our best interest at hand. If it were my call this company would not be allowed to advertise on this site. I ordered 4 gaskets back on April 29th to complete my speed* cam mod. Suffice to say that after 8+ phone calls and me offering to pay for overnight shipping, I recieved 3 of the 4 gaskets on Tuesday May 13. At this time I contacted Scott Robertson the GM and was told "the best he could do" was to refund my money and get the gasket locally or order from the warehouse in Marrietta, GA back to the dealership in Alabama, then to me in Braselton, GA. Yes, it is a $14.00 gasket which is not a lot of money however, myself being a hotel manager would have made things right for the customer after all the issues and the lying. I was initally told that the head gaskets were in stock at the warehouse in Marrietta and were not. They ended up having to come from California. So in closing, Motorsportsuperstore.com sucks and I will personally never order from them again.

Iowa City Motorsports

Stop in and ask for Rod. The sales kid knew nothing and if I didn't find this site I would have left with a sports bike because thats all the kid wanted to sell me. The kid then sold me what turned out to be a customers bike that was just parked out front because it had work done to it and was not picked up yet. He said come back in 3 days to take it home. When I showed up there was a stock warrior, not the half custom one that was out front which he said would be mine (remember, I knew nothing about the warrior and had never even seen one before so from my perspective the one out there was how they all looked). I was pissed. To top it off my new midnight had crome exhaust on it, not the black one. I was really pissed. I made them take it back and put on a black pipe which pissed off the service manager at the time who made no attempt to hide his frustration by telling me that its the same pipe only chrome... to which I replied "exactly, I ordered the MIDNIGHT model, not the chrome midnight model". 3 more days later I got the bike and vowed to never go back to buy anything again.

2+ years later...

I got a nasty TPS problem and found out about the recall only after the bike is downed due to the bucking throttle during a sharp turn. I was pissed. I couldn't even ride the bike to the shop the problem was soooooo bad. I figured I'd screw the dealer who screwed me by clogging his service guys up with a recall that they don't get paid for, however I'm a nice guy and was very polite to the new service manager. He helped me file all the paperwork with YES (yam ext service warranty) and vowed to fix all the damage and couldn't appologize enough to me. He was great. To top it off he said that he wouldn't even consider putting stock parts back on so all the damage (tank, pipes, bars, pegs forks) are getting the custom treatment for "free".

Would I go back to them for a bike? Nope. Would I get serviced there again, definitely.

16000 mile check

I am at 19000 miles on my 06' warrior, I recently moved to South Carolina. My question is this, has anyone had the 16000 mile check done anhd how much did it cost. Either the Myrtle Beach dealer is trying to screw meor the Charlestown dealer is just trying to get me in the door THEN screw me... Don't know what to do. The hole staff there is great. Recommend them to anyone in the C.T. and Rhode Island area. Or Mass to.I had my 88 lt250r quadracer worked on there and told them I don't want to spend more than $300 bucks on it and they did that for me. They also took more time with to make sure I was happy and I am.

M&M Motorsports, Kalamazoo MI ROCKS!!!

NEVER EVER HAD ANY THING BUT GOOD TO SAY ABOUT THESE GUYS. This didn't work for me so I asked to cancel, no problem send an email and it would be done. Ended up finding another supplier. Get an email later that afternoon saying cancelation couldn't be done, part already shipped? Called again, buddy on the other end of the line sounded very appologetic and that the part ended up getting shipped regular postal, said I could send it back and would deal with shipping issues when the time came around. Anyways, I got the part later then needed thanks to not being UPS'd and called to ship back, get transfered to "Terry" was told nothing could be done and that it wasn't there problem because I cancelled after the shipment left even though I was told different. I reminded him I wouldn't have cancelled the order if I was given the correct information and that it was shipped the wrong way in the first place. He then went on that even if it was shipped UPS it wasn't guaranted it would make it in time and that he was happy they didn't because it would cost them more. I reminded him I was willing to pay the extra. He then ranted on about if that if I did get the part on time they would be heroes and seeings as I didn't they were the bad guys!! I asked isn't that what CUSTOMER SERVICE was all about!! Then reminded that it was shipped wrong and the wrong info was given in the first place. I would have kept the parts if I had known they were shipped, even if they were late!! but I had to go to a different supplier do to the info given to me. Needless to say it's not worth sending back, not any further off by the time shipping is paid.

Even though they messed up not once but twice, it still wasn't there fault and they won't pay for shipping.
I call the guy monday, he says they were trained to check not change transfer case oil, I argue, yell about the oil under the bike he doesnt care, i yell, he says he has to go. I call Yamaha 59 minutes later I simply get "take it to a different dealer"

NORTH FLORIDA YAMAHA (Yullee) - WARNING (F)

My boss was looking for tires for his 07 Venture, and after seeing the markup and 97$/hour labor rate @ Camden motorsports, (the local SE Georgia Yamaha Dealer) he went looking for another place, North Florida Yamaha, - Yullee, Fl. It was supposedly affilliated with Ron Turner Yamaha of Jacksonville( I do not know personally, and is not fact). They gave him a reasonable quote and he ordered the tires and pre paid, He made an appointment for last week to get them installed. when he shows up with his bike when they opened, they told him it may take a few days, (what was the point of making an appointment) then he asked them about putting the air pressure that was on the tire - not what the bike MFG book said - and they gave him flack about that, well we go to pick the bike up and he gets 12 miles down the road and he hears a clicking noise, so we got a trailer and brought the bike back when the place opened the next morning.

So, he calls the sevice manager later that morning and they give him a song and dance about a recall on the back axle spacers, He asks if at all possible to get whatever it took to make the bike right, and he would be there to pick it up @ 5 pm, We looked everywhere and could not find any info on any recall on this bike. I told him maybe its an internal service bulliten, So when he shows up @ 5, they can not provide any evidence of any kind that there was a service bulliten or recall, and they have not even touched the bike all day long. SOOOO, by this time he's a little hot and expresses the displeasure with the service MGR who just told him there is no way he can tell whats wrong with his bike before closing time. He convinces them that they are going to need to work a little over if that what it takes. they get the wheel off of it and find very tooth on the drive shaft is chipped, the gears where not lined up when they torqued it down. Ya know making a mistake is one thing, (stuff happens) Lying to cover it up is intollerable.

Why I won't go to Central Yamaha in Plano, TX again...

The last 2 times I went to Central I was less than satisfied with the level of service I received, but it is very close to me so I have settled in the past. No more.

I finally stopped procrastinating and called Yamaha directly to see what Recalls were done before I bought the bike. The Yamaha C/S girl was very helpful and even gave me the exact dates that the prior recalls were completed. The tranny & tank recalls were both done already, with the TPS and pick-up coil left to go. The bike has been showing some symptoms of both so I wanted to get it in fairly soon to have the work done.

I called Central to see when I could make an appointment and the conversation went something like this:

Me: I need the TPS and pickup coil done, when can I make an appointment?

Cental: We are already almost a week behind so just leave it with us and we should be able to get to it in 3-5 days

Me: well, I would really prefer to make an appointment so we can get it in and out.

Central: Just leave it with us and we'll get to it when we can.

Me: Can I bring it in on a Saturday?

Central: Saturday is first come, first serve and you will still need to leave it for a few days

I wasn't entirely enthusiastic about this response so I decided to call Stadium Yamaha in Irving (almost 30min out of the way for me) to see if I had a better response. Here is how the conversation went this time:

Me: I need the TPS and pickup coil done, when can I make an appointment?

Stadium: I tell you what, I know I have the coil in stock, let me see if I have the TPS. Do you mind holding?

Me: no problem

[on hold for about 1 minute]

Stadium: I show I have a few in stock, do you mind holding on for one more minute while I go put my hands on it to confirm that I have it here?

Me: no problem

[on hold for about 1 minute]

Stadium: Yep, I've got it right here... when would you like to bring it in?

Me: How long do you think it will take?

Stadium: Bring it in when we open and we'll have it done by the time we close same day

Me: Can I bring it in on a Saturday?

Stadium: We are completely booked this Saturday, but we are free the following Saturday and can have it done same day.

Me: DONE!

I hadn't even thought to ask Central if they even had the parts in stock, and clearly they didn't care to find out either. Their attitude has almost always been the same "we don't need your business" crappy attitude. Since they don't need my business then I won't bother giving it to them, no matter how close they might be. I'd much rather go 30min out of my way to get good service and have a place that clearly goes above and beyond to provide that good service.
