dyno drags vs asphalt drags?

I just got home from Biketoberfest where I did three runs on the Teresi Dyno Drags.
1st run 10.928et/118.100mph/1.254reaction time (sleeping)
2nd run 11.046et/119.200mph/1.030rt (still sleeping)
3rd run 10.957et/120.700mph/1.031rt
Are dyno numbers different or would I get the same on asphalt?
The worst part of this is I lost to my brothers Harley.
his best run was 10.669et/126.100/0.884rt (not asleep)
Out on the road though if we line up in a third gear rolling start I leave him like he put it in reverse and he can never catch me. Whats up?

Man I was so stoked to have gotten to race a real bike the other night! There are 2 other warriors in my town. One owner is a nice guy and the other is a 2 bit douche that goes by "Hollywood" in his Exotic Toys car club! Total tool! So he bought this wrecked 03 that is black with...get this...gold, red metal flake, and olive drab metal flake pin stripes. And the pipe is a sheet metal megaphone wraped around the stock header. Anyways I tried at one time to talk to him about the finer points of the warrior and how to squeaze some juice from it and he blew me off. So getting a chance to spank his ass last night infront of his buds was awesome. I was headed to the house and saw him pull out infront of me. I cruised up beside him and a mean streak and bumped the throttle a few times. He bumped back and nailed it. I got out of it around 60 and let hime catch up. the mean streak was no where to be found though. He pulled up and says"what year is that" I told him 07 and he said "well..mines an 03" Like he was making excuses. Sorry so long but I was stoked to break on off in someones ass.!

I went to Dragway 42 in ohio last night to see what my bike would run before i put some new parts on it. My 1st pass was 13.3608 @98.25mph, i did not heat up my tire and could feel it spin all through 1st gear and it was my first time to the track in 2 years. My 2nd run was 13.3372 @97.35mph i heated my tire but it still spun it was around 10pm and miosture was building up in the air so that is why ithink my tire spun. my 3rd run was 13.7427 @96.82mph but i hit neutral on my way to second gear. my biggest problem was getting my feet back on the pegs after launching the bike, i was wondering if anybody on here has tried to launch with there left foot on the peg or in 2nd gear. my bike has a cobra 2to1 slipon and churchkey bak, next week it will have pc3 and hardchrome clasic straights, i will be back next friday if the weather is good to see what it does any predictions

Going Drag Racing

I'm going to the drags in a couple o weeks and I was wondering if any one has any experience on the 1/4 mile running a 33th front pulley vs the stock 32th.

I currently have a 33th on but I have the 32 also. The motor is stock (internally), have a propipe, patrick air kit, custom map and a 240 rear.

I'm thinkin with the 33 I'll probably not get to 5th gear, but maybe with the 32 you can leave it in 4th also, It's all about how it's pullin at the finish. The other question would be off the line, I'm figuring 2nd won't come so early with the 33th. I don't know, never officially been on a drag strip. Anyone with some experience would be greatly appreciated, don't want to put on the 32 if it's not going to help, I love cruzin with the 33.

hey all, i just raced my good friend. hes on his 2004 v-rod with 3300kms on the clock. me 2002 warrior, with 14000 kms. for those who dont know, im the guy running the carb on the warrior. 1st gear, v-rod ahead on accelaration, 2nd gear, v-rod still ahead but not by much. 3rd gear, a dead heat. 4th gear, warrior walking away from the v-rod. 5th gear... jogging away until the upper revs where the jog turned into a full sprint. we raced up to about 110 mph. that v-rod motor was pretty sweet but, down low, gutless! we also raced from a 60mph 5th gear roll on. warrior was clearly pulling harder right from the get go. thats my story and im sticking to it!

I have read several posts about Warriors beating up on v-rods. i have also read that there is no way this can happen with a Warrior.what engine mods does one have to do to just to keep up with these things? Im not talking about hi speed just from point "A" to point "B". whether it be in the 1/8 or 1/4 mile. who out there has done it? i also want to scare the chit out of them v_rod things!

Just came in from racing had a great day I ran my best times yet 60'=1.7418 330=4.9619 and the 1/8=7.7380 I dialed a 7.78 so I broke out, best way to loose I geuss.

Was cruising strip at bike week,got stopped at a stop light a guy two lanes over on a chopper flat reved it at me.So the light went green we both stood on it i got him about 40ft out the whole but he came by me then like i was standing still.I saw the guy today before i left it was a big dog with a 110 cube S.S in it the good motors before all the emission crap on it. guess i will lose every time racing bikes like that lol. calling patrick racing this week

Man friday night was awesome! They where going to have a top fuel car doing an expo at the 1/8 in Lawton so my friends and I loaded up to head down. I ran the bike and broke into the 7's!! I knew the track would be in top form so i was excited to see what I could do. Only got to make 8 passes because of the crowd but had plenty of people asking and oogling the only cruiser running down the track. First run I got 7.89 and went south from there as the weather got real humid. But was able to launch the snot out of the bike making for some great power wheelies. I think I got timmid with the throttle though and thats what really killed my time. Not scared of carrying the front tire off the ground through 1st gear anymore!!! All in all we had a good time and I beat one kawa 650 and one suzuki 600. although the chick on the zook was her first time to the track ,it was only my 3rd!!!

warrior vs 2010 ss camero

Went to the track last night and got to line up next to a spanking new ss camero. Cannot recall power numbers for it but does have the supercharged vet engine in it. I got a nice jump on him but he did catch me at the end. I kept having shifting issues, this was the first time I have ever taking a bike down a drag track. He got me by about 1/2 a second but I was riding 3rd gear/rev limiter for quite a while. Must say that is one damn fine looking car.

All motorcycle/snowmobile dragrace this Sunday the 23rd at NYIRP!!!!

Just wanted to let all you New Yorkers know that there will be an all motorcycle/snowmobile drag race shootout this weekend, Sunday at NYIRP. The track is a 1/4 mile setup and is pretty good shape. I have been for the past 5 or more years and has had over 200 bikes at it in years past. They have Sport class, V-Twin, pro and a few others. It is a good time. If it raind they may not have it so keep an eye on the website i have posted on here. Maybe I will see you there. I'll be on the Indigo '06 Warrior.

LVMS Midnight Mayhem 28 August 09

Registeration starts at 8pm, racing at 9pm. For those out here in Las Vegas come on out and run your bike for only $10. This is the track that NHRA pros run TWICE a year, most tracks are lucky to see the pros once a year. And to think we are lucky enough to be able to run on this world class track for only $10 until midnight.

What you need: MC license, helmet, registeration papers for your bike, and insurance papers.

Last couple of events there has only been about 200 racers, down from the 400 max that usually turns out for mayhem. That translates into minimal wait time between runs. Come on out and have some fun.

I havent had the chance to try this yet but the previous owner of my 02 warrior said that one time he was at a red light and a couple of 600cc sportbikes pulled up beside him and said " them v twins don't have anything" and to know this guy he is one that will do everything in his power to prove you wrong especially in a challenge. So he put his bike in 2nd gear and had it at about half throttle and when the light turned green he hammered it and dumped the clutch and accually beat them to the next stop light. He told me the bike is light enough and has enough torque that it works like a charm.and plus you don't have that split second that it takes to shift from 1st to 2nd. My question is have any of you tried this and what is your opinion.

Warrior vs VROD Muscle

Well I don't know if I should be posting this in the racing forum but anyhow. The other day

I went out for a ride and I saw a bike of interest ahead of me. I couldn't make it out but I

saw a nice size rear tire and the rider appeared to be riding a cruiser type bike. Well I finally

caught up to him at a traffic light on a single lane highway. That's when I realized it was a

VROD Muscle. Now I would like to state that I like the VROD, but I'm partial to the Night Rod,

now with that being said, I saw him check me out in his side view mirror when I pulled up. I

then saw him put it into gear (light was still red). So I figured OK he want's to go, but when the

light changed he kinda moseyed along. Then after about 100' he throttled down. Well, I decided

to do the same. Well, I stayed right in his rear view (+/- 30') the whole run (+/- .5 miles). I don't know

if he was giving it his all and I didn't want to pass on the single lane highway with oncoming cars,

but I had alot more to go if I wanted. I came out real feeling good about the run. Right now I've got

the PCIII with Bucky685's map and Church's VBAK.

Warrior vs SE 103 and SE v-rod

a friend of mines brother bought a screaming eagle 103 harley a couple months back and all i have hear was how fast it was which was cool so he has a fast Harley. then he started telling every one how he was going to hunt me down and show me how fast it was. a couple days ago i see him at a family cook out so i walked over to him (in front of some of his Harley buddies) and asked about what he had been saying. we got to talking trash and i said lets go get them and run them now. he back down and said i will see you tomorrow. ok.next day at the Duke Charity Ride i pull up beside him. he was riding single and me with the wife. he weighs 200 and the wife and i total 360. and we hit it from a roll from different speeds. i pulled him every time (with out the NOS).when we got through and slowed down i look to my right and here sits a bad Screaming Eagle v-rod that has been built so i reach down and flip the switch tell the wife to hold on.we slowed down and hit it , i sprayed and pulled him 1/2 bike ans stayed their. he pulled up gave me thumbs up . no excuses good run.went for round 2. hit the juice and was out. he pulled me about a bike. pulled up beside thumbs good run. then he fell back in the pack. we got back at Brewers i found out that the v-rod had to be towed home after our last run and the 103 was still talking trash. so in front of everyone at the table i challenged him to a real race one without my wife on the bike.we went to a deadend road. from dead get i jumped him 2 bikes and every time i hit the gears i was jumping.we pulled back into the parking lot and he finaly admitted his defeat. i also talked to the v-rod driver and he admitted that if i was ridding single i would have walked away from him both times. i told him i think he might get me not far after the 1/4 after he got that motor spinning a bit.alll in all a good day for me .

So I over heard a guy at work talking about how his magna has 105 hp and it sounds awesome and he keeps talking about how fast his bike is. WELL, that same day, it just so happens we both get off work at the same time and he's going taking the highway to go see a friend that lives near me. So i told him I wanted to test my bike with his to see if my bike could keep up (hehehe). So we go on our marry way. Getting on to the highway, his right behind me, I'm in third gear and I gun it and I was gone. I though well maybe he just did not get good run at it. I let him catch up to me, side by side, were cruising about 60mph, he gets on it, then I get on it and needless to say, he could not keep up. I wave good bye.

I see him the next day and he asked if my bike was six speed. I said no its just five. He says oh, I thought it was six speed cause your took off like a bat out of hell. I said, i guess your bike is really not 105hp cause mine is only int the 80's. Anyways, i was just happy to prove him wrong cause he's one of them guys that are always talking about how much amagize/unbelieable stuff he does.

Jeep Cherokee SRT-8 vs. Warrior

Sorry no video. I had the opportunity to take on Jeeps new Cherokee which boasts a whopping 420hp and 420ft/lb torque. While I have all the basic warrior upgrades including pwr. commander, VBAK etc., it was still a close race. I got him by 3/4 car length .5 sec. This convinced me to start working towards getting that 110 kit by Patrick racing rather than putting it off.

OK, so this coming July 12th there is going to be a group of co-workers with bikes going for a ride. All sorts of different bikes. Of course being a guy and a Warrior owner, I'm checking out all the other bikes to see if there is any of them that could hang with the Warrior. The only one I'm concern about it a Victory 8 Ball. The owner has after markert pipes (don't know what brand) a Power Commander and running K & N Filters. I have the PCIII, V&H Long Shots and stock air filters. I know on the twisties he don't have a chance cause those bikes are a little too top heavy and I'm a little more experiance rider. So here is the question, do you guys think he can take me on a straight strech??

Fat Bob that is. Went riding today with a group of guys from work. One pimped out 1100 Vstar, three HD Ultra (aka geezer) Glides, and one 08 HD Fat Bob. I was leading the group on what I had planned to be a nice relaxing ride. But I knew the loudmouth on the Fat Bob wouldn't be able to handle it. See, he's always bragging his bike up and saying how fast it is since he put a power commander, slipons, and a hypercharger on it. (BTW, my 08 warrior is bone stock) So we turned of one road and on to another when he cruised up beside me and nodded his head at me. Alright, I'm thinking, let's get this over with so I can shut you up. We both whack the throttle at the same time, and let me tell you, it wasn't even a race. The warrior lunged forward and all he saw was taillight and water heater for the next 1/4 mile or so. I slowed down and he pulled up next to me again shaking his head. I gave him a big smile and rode on. Later, just to have a little fun with the whole group, I led them down a fairly curvy road and chuckled at the tank-like harleys every time I accelerated through a curve while they all slowed down for them. God I love my warrior!
