awesome job! i have been looking at doing this for a while but i have no ais cover anymore (not on the bike anyway) so i would have to find a different place for the ignition. maybe i could pester you for some help over a PM or 2. looks amazing

the light is big enuf to do some cool stuff with, the people think black to go with the midnight look ,i think if you are going to paint it you might as well do some really custom work to it and put the tach in it but make it molded in and still have the just headlight look . i mean sink it in that housing if you get real tricky you can hide it in there like people are doing with the lights in fenders where everything is flush and you could make it lightly blacked out so when the dash isnt on it will just look like the headlight bucket that will be cool. cya btk572

IMHO I would say black out the light shell and leave the rim chrome.

Oh....by the way.... The wires do infact reach the tach without extending them as long you mount the tach close up to the front of the bike under the tank.

I would like to see where you put your tach. You didn't happen to snap a pic of its location did you?

I unfortunately didnt snap any pics. I simply zip tied it in place temporarily between the frame rails under the gas tank. Soon I will be extending the wires and mounting it in a new location. When I do I will be sure to take some pics along the way. It will be soon so I will keep you updated as I go.

I like the headlight, I actually like a lot of things about your bike. However, I prefer the stock location for the tach. I depend on the clock and the trip meter more than ever. You did an excellent job on the ignition.
