Before i try to get ahold of metzler, I thought I would try hear first. What size and style front tire do I need to match my 210 metzeler. they do not offer a 120/70/18 in the same style as the 210.
I have been searching in the forum but can't seem to find what style to go with.

I believe the matching metzler is a 130 it is the biggest tire you can fit on the front, just like your 210 is the largest rear.

is it a 130/70 or 130/60. and will it look right with a bigger front tire

I dont know about the height but if its a meztler 130 with 18rim it will fit fine. Xharley had one on his bike and looked fine. We are talking about 1 centimeter difference, not much.

I believe it is the 130/60. My suggestion would be to talk to Bis... he and I had this discussion a few months back and I can't remember all the details.

Alan,

Sorry I missed this one but my battery is stock and I have not check the actual size.

I bough the battery tender by Schumacher a couple days ago (still on shipment) and will try to recharge the battery and see how that goes and if still didnt work I may need to get new battery.

I saw some articles about SVR14 that need "little" modification on the tray by heating the tray to mold the battery.

I just replaced this Metzler ME880 Marathon 130/70HR18 VTX1800 - MFG # 110-13361 after 16,111 miles:

Here's a good comparison of your Metzeler 130/60 and my 130/70 - Notice the smaller gap between the fender tip & tire on the RH photo because of the taller 130/70 tire. I chose this profile strictly for looks because it hugs the fender and Chris aka 357WARRIOR recommended it Wink

and that's good enough for me!

I don't doubt or dispute that your 130/60 might be a better handling and technically superior tire but it's also very pricey! As stated above, i just replaced this tire and will be running the Roadtec Z6 in stock size as i contemplate replacing my frt fender with an R1 which won't accommodate the taller tire.
