I had some great rides on my Warrior and plan more for next spring. High on my list are the Oregon 500 which was great this year, the Hell's Canyon Rally which was great too, Desert Dash and Hawgs and Hay both of which I missed. We took a trip to Frenchglen. The ride was great but Frenchglen was not very biker friendly with its one gas pump squirting only regular and not being open between 4:00 pm and 10:00 am. We rode the Teddy Bear run out of The Dalles and it was quite fun. It would be fun to ride with some other Warriors. At each run I was asked many times what my bike was and if the missle launcher exhaust was an aftermarket part. On most runs I ride pretty much by myself. The Warrior easily goes through the twisties about 5 mph beyond what the other V-Twins like to go and going their speed feels like I could push it that fast. However, the hot shoes on the Fazers and Hyabusas go REAL fast sometimes. So I'm usually about 5 miles behind the crotch rockets and 5 miles ahead of the V-Twins at each checkpoint. BTW, my Warrior is pretty much stock. All I've added is a Corbin Dual Tour seat, Punisher handlebars and a National windshield that I don't like very well because it's ugly. My biker babe wants me to relocate the foot pegs lower so I'm trying to think of how to work that and keep the stock pipe. I'm not looking for more power, I like the sound of the thing and I don't want to sacrifice any lean angle. I am considering a Muzzy 2 into 1 since it appears to sit a little lower without giving up ground clearance. I'd probably put the Techlusion fuel system on if I do that. If some want to ride Warriors together in one of the Northwest rides let me know. I'm in La Grande so rides that start in the SW part of Oregon are kind of hard for me to get to with out planning a vacation. Boise is closer to me than Portland from here. I might start climbing the walls by mid winter so I may consider towing the bike South until I run out of snow. Arizona perhaps? Our last snow here was June 10. I trailered the bike though a snowstorm in the Blue Mountains to return home from the Oregon 500 in May. I put a rock though the belt by riding up to Morgan Lake on the gravel road that takes you there. $400.00 and 5 days later I had my ride back. Chain drive is looking pretty attractive. Other than throwing oil on the wheel, needing adjustment every 400 miles and weekly cleanings chains work pretty good. I don't have a lot of riding experience on other bikes but this Warrior seems to be about as good a ride as there ever was. It has good handling, enough power to boogie right along and looks so very mean. Next to a Warrior I think a Mean Streak looks like a sissy bike.
