We went for a nice ride this afternoon along the west edge of Mount Hood, from the Columbia River, along the Sandy River, out to Bull Run Reservoir and ending up in the town of Sandy, then home.  Chilly but sunny so we're smiling.  I've been working away making up the lost time, and its late now but I figured I would post this and say HA HA I got to ride today hehe!

I can't get this right now, so I figured I'd offer a heads-up.  This is a smoking deal.  The current list is actually $225.  I don't know this Yami dealer but they seem to have a good rep.

Any Portland area riders interested in meeting Saturday afternoon for a post ride pint? Roots in SE or Lucky Lab NW?

I may be down for that.  What time are you thinking?

Just noticed Lucky Lab is having a bit of a festival on Saturday... good timing? How 3 o'clock unless better suggestions spring forth? The event is big beer and barley wine... (IPA is my choice, but who am I to argue...) It's at the NW Quimby location: http://www.luckylab.com/html/events.html As for a ride I was planning on Columbia River Gorge or maybe running into SW Washington up past Swift Dam on SR 503. The longest single ride I've done on the Warrior is 100 miles... need to up the ante... (Caution... slower rider)

I know none of you needs it, but in case you run across anyone I figured I'd mention that my website finally went live (although parts are still under construction and the email link doesn't link yet).  The contact form works fine.  www.open-spokes.com

I've linked with google and a few other search engines but they say it takes about a month for the link to begin to appear in a search.

    Thanks.

Re: PNWW: PACIFIC NORTH WEST WARRIORS

In a couple weeks on a sunny day I'm doing a test-ride from Mount Hood, west on 26, north on 35, west on 14, then north up the Carson River Valley on Wind River Hwy and up National Forest Rd 25 to some point supposedly with an awesom view of Mt. St. Helens (on the mountain's east side looking west).  I don't know road conditions, it might be gravel or dirt.  So can anyone tell me if they have personal experience riding this north-south squiggly road just east of the crater?

Did that last year with a group.  It's a really fun ride.  I know that we took windy river road but I am not sure if we went up NFR 25.  I want to say we did and there isn't any problems with it.  Nice and paved.

Wanna ride along in a couple weeks before the season starts-up?   I'm starting in Sandy and going around Mt Hood and out 35, across to 14 west, then up.  I'm just cruising no speed-demon stuff at all.  After, I'll probably dead-head 14 west to the 205 bridge.

Depending on work schedule, I'd like to join you. Also regarding your post about NFR 25, I know they had a slide that closed that road in November 09, but don't have any updated info. I suggest calling the forest service to see if they've repaired or patched that section. I also don't know where along the road it slid.

Don't ride a Warrior anymore but would like to try and join a ride if my schedule permits.......Sundays are best as it looks like lacrosse and soccer will be consuming Saturdays through May

That reminds me, I actually enjoyed drinking beer and watching soccer and lacrosse in Arizona.  Its more fun that I would have thought.  PM or email me and lets go see a pro game someplace.

Portland has lost its Pro lacrosse team this last year ,so no pro games to see.i m not drinking beer and watching , myself and my kids all play in leagues,  game day for the three of them is Saturday and i play Sunday evenings so the schedule gets a little tight until schools out, but i think i can sneak a ride in
