Coming down from Fort Worth. I remember a thread from a while back with some others, but can't find it... Anyone want to join up with us? Going down Friday probably mid AM, might go 281, might go 35 depends on the crowd.

Also cool to meet up on Saturday for a ride, Poncho you want to pick out some good roads?

I'll be coming up from San Antonio. I haven't been up 35 North for some time but it always seems to have construction work done; maybe going up 281 is not a bad idea.

Me and my better half won't get there till Saturday afternoon. If you guys get together give me a call at 210-842-4876; of course it will go to my voice mail if I'm on the bike; something about the BUB chambermaids being a little loud.

    p.s.
Having a custom sissy-bar made just for the occasion. Not really my wife made me, though she hardly rides she likes the rallys, and this rally is close enough for her to go to.

Gang'sters, this here being my nek of woods, would be my pleasure to show you boyz were the real riding is. 281 is the way to come to town from the north or south. Either way, my suggestion to git yoo up to speed is to go to Marble Falls. Take 1431 east to Cedar Park. this here lil road of mine, Yes it is mine-Im just loanin it to you cuz yor company, is what I call the warmer-upper. I live 1 mile from 1431 and 183. You might be needin a sittin spell and a cold drink before I take you for the tour of the town. Mind you now, we be not headin directly into town, but rather takin a sneak preview of some of my fav-o-rite back roads. trust me, you will not be dissappointed. I travel all over the country on my scooters. I have some of the best day run roads just out my back door. And for our Northern brethern just thawing out, We ride all year down here. winter bein the best cuz its cooooler. for the last month or so, Id be rubbin it in to my bro in Indy that we have to wait for the sun to go down so we can get some riding in. he told me I can 'goto hell'. Id reply 'race ya?', but hes on a harley and that wouldnt be fair. call me at 512-413-3664 when yer headin this way. adios amigos, poncho [8D]

I'm getting there Saturday mid morning and was planning to give Poncho a call to see if he new of a good place for Lunch and maybe a beer or two on 6th Street. If I remember correctly, back in College there use to be a bar or 2 on 6th Street.

    Poncho
If you can make it and or have somewhere in mind why don't you reccomend a meeting place on 6th Street for Saturday at 12 noon. I'll try to call you when I get into town.

Re: Republic of Texas Bike Rally

ok guys, settle down. 6th street is great for a show but not the best place to eat or relax. there'll be a lot of bikes all over town to look at. Last year some 25k bikes, 95% harleys showed up. traffic came to a complete stop for 3 days. the locals hate it.
downtown is gonna be packed and might not be the best place to meet up. I can recommend rallying points depending on where everybody is staying. I guess a local landmark might be best. You cannot miss the state Capitol bldg on North Congress at 12th street. Congress ave ends right at the front door of this place. I remember there being parking areas in front, but I suspect that everybody n their brother is gonna be parked there. Lets get a list of cell phone #'s together and email them to the Texas contigency. Ive got ya covered for any pokeruns. all the good roads are mine. lots of em, too!
