     Yes, often I do 3-3.5 qts first

    That is information that would have been helpful BEFORE I CHANGED THE OIL!!!!

     

    J/K thanks again for the quick service on the shipment.  Everything went fine except for the overflow.

    Sorry, been there done that myself, the second time I changed. Also the FIRST POST OF THIS THREAD, says to add 2.6 qts fill the oil tank.Stick out tongue

     Just finished my first oil change.  Had to grind a 17mm wrench down like crazy to get the drain bolt off from in front of the left foot peg.  What a major PITA!  Makes ya wonder what Yammi was thinking when they designed the placement of that drain bolt.

    I replaced it with a 13mm head so I never have to do that again!  Never would have completed it without the tips here in the forum.  Invested in a bike lift and that made things quite easy...especially replacing the lower cowl!
