    That's a nice seat. I didn't know they could be custom ordered. If you don't mind what would the price ranges be?

    Look around the Corbin site. They will do a lot for you. Different Materials, colors, stitching - Just not cheap.

    This seat was $450 incl shipping in 2004. It is now about twice that now.

    Also give them a call. They gave great advice on each seat I orderd from them . They let me know which material and texture would mate up with another.I had excellent cust service from them.

    Re: Corbin Seat Which Materials

    There are so many materials to choose from, I would definitely ask them to send you samples of everything you think you may like and then some 'outside the box' choices. Do not go by any of their photos because cut and style can vary although the DualTour should be pretty obvious. I would not go with lots of different stitching and materialchoices on the same seat but obviously beauty is in the eye of the spender!! There are great DualTour seats for sale on this site for $250-$400 with backrests sometimes so that may be an option which is where I found mine and have loved it on long trips.

    After you have ordered it, I would call a couple of hours later to check that your order has been entered correctly. My YoungGuns was a nightmare because the Corbin person entered wrong materials and style info, it was softer than a stock seat and he basically could care less that it arrived wrong.

    You probably know that Corbins are very hard but extremely comfortable after about 1500 miles to 'break-in'. If your seat arrives and it's soft, it's because the operator added incorrect proportions of the foam material since the seats are 'made' in a mold. Their quality control used to be and probably still is very poor so don't worry about calling them a lot to check on status etc.

    Enjoy and good luck:}

    Re: Corbin Seat Which Materials

    Here's my 1400 mile trip to Corbin last year with JayTee via the Sherman Pass which landed me a very expensive triple digit speeding ticket on Rt1 [:(] . Corbin did a free seat adjustment to my Stinger after 3-yrs and free meal ticket Cake

    Here's a url to the slideshow presentation which includes the cook's tour of their plant where you can see them pouring the foam. If you get bored, back out of the slide show and go to the details.

    Amazing how the older tech seems to be so good. My 'old' Olympus 750 is so much better than the new Olympus Stylus 740
