    Rear Spring Change (Pics)

I thought I would add pics to a pretty simple mod. I read alot of people changing the spring with out removing the tire.. First jack up the bike high enough to work under, I was on the third saftey of my Craftman, I went ahead and removed the rear tire so I could get to the rear shock mount (radial arm). First remove the lock nut on the pre-load adjuster, Second loosen the adjuster until it comes off, mine didnt even spring at all (pucker factor was about an 8) but no worries, once the spring is loose take the thin c-clip off the rear of the housing then remove the rear shock mounting bolt, the metal plate, plastic bushing and spring will slide right out the back.
Then just reverse order and done.

Since I now have a 1100LB spring I adusted the pre-load all the way out and the rebound at 10 clicks(will be different for different riders)

Plus the bike sits about 3/4 to 1" lower

Cool job, & great pics. I'm getting ready for this mod as well. So did you need a spring compression tool?

This for posting up. I did the change to get more ground clearance in corners and now the Warrior scrapes even more thanks to the shorter spring. [:(!] Looks like a spring spacer or short dogbones are in the future.

No Spring Compressor needed, the spring decompresses as you looen the adjuster nut, I have the Adjustable dog bones on the way, but wanted to see how low the spring alone puts the bike so I can dial in easier.

The dog bones will be easy also no need to remove the shock assembly

Shorter dog bones and some preload will do it. I have mine preloaded allot and the shorter bones and I don't scrape nearly as bad.

With the 1/2" shorter 1000# Eibach spring adjusted to 7.25" preload the bike will sit at stock height!

I agree with AlanH, I also have the 1000 spring myself and I have ample clearance, stock height.
