FPR 2nd Move - Friday Evening Project

Thanks to JSHRAM & BILLH1943 earlier posts i was well equipped to relocate the FPR under the Fuel Tank.

My installation differed slightly from theirs because i mounted the FPR 180 degrees about and the vent line is turned up toward the Frame.

In this position i was able to run the 5/16" ID Fuel Injection (FI) Hose between the throttle bodies and the Idle Cable Adjuster (billh1943) using the OEM Quick Disconnects with FI hose clamps. The return hose to the aux fuel tank was left intact (jshram) except that i really choked up on the hose to the FPR tube and used a FI hose clamp even though this is the low pressure side of the regulator.

There is more clearance and a better path to the lower gas fitting routing the hose as shown. The path between the frame & throttle linkage is choked by the engine mount IMHO.

I tie wrapped the assembly very neatly to the left tubular frame using two of the remaining T&B tie wraps from Churchkey's V-BAK kit. When time permits i'll fabricate a mounting bracket. Enclosing some jpegs of the install

    [:)] Thanks again to JSHRAM & BILLH1943

Bill that looks real neat using the factory molded hose assembly. Looks like you had to swivel the elbows [?] . It's the same path that jshram took in this posting

He used NAPA 5/16 FI hose and covered the hose with leftover large hose from the AIS removal for protection probably because of the interference of the motor mount bracket (MMB) and cylinder cooling fins.
I initially tried taking that route and ran into the MMB with the stock hose assy and also wasn't happy with the clearance using the new 5/16 FI hose. I just didn't have the spirit to modify the MMB. It took me three nights of looking and fiddling before cutting the stock fittings from the hose assy.
What's nice about your method is that the fuel hose is not under any stress or flex [:p] nor is it touching any of the engine parts. The FI hose in my mod is under some stress and deliberately flexed to touch the Throttle Body/Intake and not the engine [^] similar to your '02' mod from what i can see on your web site.
