    Memphis Shades Hell Cat

Installed a Memphis Shades Hell Cat. Straight forward handle bar mount install. Cuts just enough wind off of my chest area now. Didn't want to go to big on the shield and wanted something that worked with the lines of the bike. I am very satisfied with this shield. Pic is in gallery.

With the Yamaha Tach Cowl can position the Hell Cat higher and further back than the Big Shot and have infinite adjustment of the incline of the shield

I'm a big fan of the Hell Cat. I found just the right angle and height where I get no buffeting. Goes on and off real easy too. And - on top of everything else - it is relatively inexpensive.

Looks good. I don't really like the windshields on these bikes,
but that one doesn't look too bad. I guess if I were making longer
trips all of the time, I would get myself one.

Do they make that shield in smoke tint? I like it but I would prefer smoke.

    Re: Memphis Shades Hell Cat

since i wont be getting my Street Glide for a while (were moving into a new house next month!!!), im finally breaking down and thinking about a shield for the cold weather riding... my group rides year round- save for the rain/snow, so a 30 degree ride isnt out of the ordinary.

this shield looks pretty sweet... not too big and hokey- and it looks like itll deflect enough air to make a big difference in temps behind that shield.

however, to anyone who would know- would this shield fit a Warrior thats equipped with Yammi TT bars and a tach cowl?

is the mounting hardware included with the shield?

when the shield is off- how much hardware is left on the bike?

it appears that its essentially a 'clip on/clip off' shield- right?

and finally- how much and where??

    thanks guys.

Ok, this shield is the solar color (light grey), does not cover grip area, nice and narrow. I have mine mounted slightly low and angled back now and it does take most of the air off of my chest area but not too much off helmet area. I rode at 80 mph today with it about 60 miles and I was wearing a Bell Drifter half helmet, much more comfortable normally I can't stand a half helmet on highway for too long. I'm 5'10 and 175 lbs. I wouldn't mind it if the shield were an inch or two taller but then I think it would compromise the look. Mounting hardware is included. Pretty easy to take off maybe two bolts to loosen and the handle bar rings stay on bike. Bought this at local Yamaha dealer for 155.00 but I think Phat Performance has them for 119.00

Close-up of hardware mounted on Yamaha Bend Bar (Longhorn) before Tach Cowl install. $118.95 landed complete with hardware from:

Phats has them listed at $119.95 currently

The shield is infinitely adjustable with the supplied mounting hardware and should work with all common handle bar combinations IMHO.

Based on your alls recommendation, I just mounted one on my warrior for the winter. My 2003 is black with indigo flames, so I went with the black fade on the sheild. Looks as good as any sheild will look, and you can't beat $119.00.

I have the mem shades but with the pop-top shield. that one doesnt have the flared sides but still looks sharp on the warrior... again it only gets it off your chest mainly, but in serious rain it gives you enough to duck under. they are really nice with how fast they remove and always solid at high speeds!
