    DIY fender eliminator

This was the mod sent in by BigBlack. I have a habbit of having 2 left hands so I am chuffed that it came out so good. Great directions BigBlack.

I used 3mm alluminium and cut it out with an angle grinder and the finer bits with a dremel. Sorry i did not manage to take a pic when it was out but will repost when I take it off to polish.

Unfortunately that is the legal size in the UK I have actually cut the corners off to make it smaller. I am going to get a slightly smaller one WTF. I have so manny illegal mods as it is if I get pulled it wont matter.

Gotta love those English plates, size of a street sign, but makes me feel nostalgic.

Looks good, Steve. It still blows me away with what you have to pay and go through to get your plates personalized.
And you're right about your bikes' mods, the officer handing you the violation would have to add the line, "Page one of three."

I don't understand the purpose of the ears, but thanks for providing the dimensions!

Not sure if it was a joke as there was no smilie, if it was ignore.

You need the "ears" to connect to the sides of the fender. It makes it stable and is needed.

Thanks Bruce, I have just ordered a 6" x 5" plate so it should look beter.

Doh! I would have sworn there was just a hole in that ear, but now I can see that it's a bolt.

There you go, Steve... let's just trade bikes and houses. Mine comes complete with a low-maintenance three-year old daughter and an old, smelly cat that I will throw in for absolutely no charge..
I'd love to go back to the UK. (Except for being so damned close to France, it's a helluva place.)

Where are your rear turn signals? Am I just missing them, or are they built into your brake light led?

I have not put them back. I am considering removing them completely.

With the OE Mud Flap (Fender) and your billboard plate did it drag the ground? LOL :) That plate is huge and it woulod be even funnier to see a side mount with those huge plates. Not trying to make fun of you or your bike just shocked on the actual size of the plates over there.
