    Intake modification.

decided to build a intake since i havent been able to ride [:(]15 days of rain .. so i bought some 3" pipe some i/4 stock some 3/8 stock and a cone filter from autozone . i tacked it together with my mig welder and think it came out good . i am going to dig out my tig welder for the final welds .before having it chromed . let me know what you think of it . maybe shorter ?? or a smaller filter ? i found all these parts local and quick.

K&N has a cone just a little smaller with chrome end caps. Would be perfet. See, rain can be "A good thing".

Sorry, way too big IMO. You might have some leg room issue there? But as long as you like it that's all that counts.

no leg room issues ,and i am 6-2 . it's actually more forward than the stock air cleaner. thanks for the honesty . it looks a bit big to me . looking for a smaller filter and maybe shortning it a couple inches

I'm thinking that this is a little too far forward for my taste as well, but hey, it's YOUR bike and as long as YOU like it.. that's all that really matters. Taste is subjective..If you don't believe me, ask my wife.. hers sucks.. LOL...

I give you this much.. at least you have the talent and initiative to do this...
If you don't like what I have to say.... move right on along..

I like it, in a sick weird way. It's kind of like how some people like the stock bazooka, it fits the musuclar look of the Warrior. It says this bike NEEDS TO BREATH!

first off im assuming its cosmetic.... so because of that Id consider making the filter a lil smaller. Perhaps a smaller pipe... maybe some 2inch pipe? I'm not sure man..... maybe you can come up with something..... either way cool mod quick and I like it!

have a look at the dimensions of my filter-element (-> gallery), build that with steel and k&n and it's perfect.
Life may be hard but the alternative sucks!

Timo's has a great look, the best of it's style... but I like what your aiming towards if you shrink it some, MM. Right now, it's certainly "industrial strength!"

I like the bigger look. Its different from the average. Most of the aftermarket ones come in the same size.

Make everything about 2/3 its current size and I think you'll have a lot of us asking if you plan to make and sell them.

Point it straight up and you can snorkle through the washes, RAIN BE DAMNED!

    Looks cool...although LARGE.

ok here's what i decided . i am going to order a k&n filter 4.5 in diam and a little shorter . also i am going to shorten it 2.5 inches. i'll post some picks when i get it done . and to answer some questions . 1 the 3" pipe was pre bent (mandrel bent ) 2.i took out the whole aircleaner so this is full function and should work as a ram air (i hope )
