    Re: DIY BAK Issues

Perhaps the sensors are interchangable so long as the correct harness corresponds to the desired input. For instance, your 4107 sensor could be interchanged with any of the 3223 sensors so long as the pressure sources were changes as well. Anyone know what the four bolt type digits of the part number correspond to?

Where were you when I needed wire colors two months ago[:D]

My sensor part numbers are as follows:

    5JW 82380-00
    EIT 24772

one is 6928 while the two others are 6920

    NO WAY!
I've been down this road before w/others and on more than just one Continent [;)]
The AP sensor has no vacuum line [^]

The PN's indicated are from my '04' USA Warrior. They are not Yamaha!

I don't normally respond to DIY BAK members as they are Type A personality and end up screwing things up [:D] [;)]

It's in the factory manual schematic. Items 17-19
Also, note the date of the referenced original topic was from last year.
If you had used the Search feature with AlanH as 1 of the parameters it was have brought up the info quickly. I believe someone in Australia had the connectors mixed up

6928 = the AP sensor [^] but with your logic maybe not [:D] JK [;)]

Yes, the bike in Australia also had different PN's but 2 of the numbers were the same [:)]

NO WAY!Well, ive already proven that it WILL work as my bike is setup like this and runs awesome with NO error codes. Unless you can show me what the four digit designations mean and that they are indeed for different purposes, you are wrong. All 3 sensors have the same part number, excluding the four digits whose meaning has yet to be explanied to me, and serve to measure pressure.
I've been down this road before w/others and on more than just one Continent [;)] The fact that your personal experience differs from others doesnt make you any more correct than they or I. Just different. The AP sensor has no vacuum line [^]
ANd when did I state that it did?The PN's indicated are from my '04' USA Warrior. They are not Yamaha!
THey look just like mine, save the four digit mystery numbers

Anyone know what the four bolt type digits of the part number correspond to?

Well, hopefully saweetandlow is able to weed through all this banter and find what he is looking for.

Thats what I assumed when I first undertook this project. I, however, was wrong.

    Thanks for the amateur psychoanalysis.

Cant find anything specifically citing the four digits, only which harness corresponds to which pressure source. My apparently flawed logic would suggest that one pressure transducer is as good as the next, so long as its output matched that within an expected tolerance.

Well looks like sc186 is correct Cake and i'm wrong [B)] [:0]

I just went through Parts Fiche Details on the MSSS.com site and checked years '02~08:

    24 SENSOR, PRESSURE 5JW-82380-00-00 qty 1 $147.34

    55 SENSOR, PRESSURE 5JW-82380-00-00 qty 2 $147.34

Same part number for the 3 sensors unless it's a misprint.

Oh well, as i infrequently say, "I've been wrong before" [;)]

One funny thing I noticed is that if the idle adjust is turned in too much, the bike will start and idle but it will surge and act like it has a vacuume leak. All I need now is a PCIII to get rid of the slight stumble off idle.

THanks a bunch for all of the help. I really appreciate it.

Go back to page 1 of this thread. The error codes are there.
Sounds like 2 shorts and a stuck sensor.
My guess is if you relocated your sensors you probably have them hooked up wrong.
