In my quest to upgrade to the 1 1/2" Roadstar pulley i discovered that the hubs are the same machined castings.
Only difference is the colors.
The heavier/thicker washer used on the Roadstar is to accommodate the longer stud projection present because of the deeper machined pulley that is required to offset the wider belt on the rear wheel and also for the accessory CHROME PULLEY NUT COVERS that would bottom out because of the longer
exposed studs. (THE ASSEMBLED STUDS ARE IDENTICAL FOR BOTH HUBS)
