High Brake Pedal

I hvae a really wierd problem. My brake pedal was too high for me to get my foot on top of quickly (or comfortably really), so I went and adjusted the height by turning the connecting rod. It's been about 2 weeks now, and the brake seems like it's just as high again. The bar is already tight against the nut, and there's no more adjustment left! Am I missing something here?

loosen the nut, adjust the bar, then tighten the nut to hold the bar in place.

Already did that, what I meant was that I've moved it so far that there is no more room on the threads to lower the pedal any more than it is now.

I run mine right up to the nut(shorten linking rod) and it drop about 2+ in but had to strach my brake switch spring because it didn't have enought ajustment.

Factory Manual-Adjusting Rear Brake: IMO, the warning regarding the end of the adjusting bolt being visible is for adequate thread engagement. In your case, shortening the brake rod is a non issue as you will have full thread engagement []
Adjusting the rod has a very modest effect on the mechanics of the brake pedal and pushrod forces to the MC because of the angular position of the short bell crank on the brake pedal and the path it travels!
If lengthening the pushrod be extremely careful not to over adjust as the rear brakes will lock up [:0]

I have the same issue, I have the 3" extentions on my bike so my rod has an extender as well. I've adjusted it as far as I can and I wish the pedal was lower. I think I might look at modding the rod. or replacing it with one rod (shorter) instead of the stock rod with the extension that came with the kit.

Thanks all. I think I'll have to try modding the brake rod itself to get the adjustment I need!
