Also billet swingarm end caps will be discounted by $55 as part of the kit for the group buy. Great addition to the kits.

Also question asked often: yes our price is the same regardless of the number of kits. no volume dependency.

Re: Group Buy on Wide Tire Kits-Results pg8!!

In Reza's post about the two different swingarms he provides, he gives his preference on which swingarm to purchase because it's " much more reinforced than the slim arms out there . . . . .the gussets are all billet 6061 alunminum and we add two reinforcements behind the down brackets. This arm has excellent torsional rigidity and fatigue life."

This seems to be a play to get us to reconsider our options on where to purchase our swingarms. I can't deny the fact that the swingarm he prefers is beefier than most of the others.

But one thing needs to be considered. If the slimmer swingarm was a potential hazard he wouldn't sell it or even offer it. Also I don't recall seeing any failures on either.

I will give Reza this. He's great at marketing his products and it's a very clever way to make the competition's standards look lower, but that's just not the case. If the slimmer swingarm was a problem, no one would offer it because of the liabilities involved.

So guys, when you think about purchasing your kit remember that all of the suppliers do quality work or they wouldn't be doing it at all. Spend your money wisely, get what you really want and can afford.

Who does the slim arm, who does the hump one, and who does both? May be useful info to those that care.

Pep, I appreciate your comments but please do not distort what I have said.

One does not need a failure to make comparisons. As I mentioned we have offered both kinds and still do, however I do prefer the stronger one. You can call vendors not in this group buy such as BMS choppers and get their opinion on the slim arm vs the ARC design and BMS was the first ones with wide tire kits and modified swingarms.

We were the first ones to offer the slim design three years ago.

Competition also has sold both kinds of arms, so your comments about making the competition look worst is NOT valid nor fair. We are comparing it with our own arms and we are NOT the only ones making the ARC arms, other vendors in this group buy do offer ARC arms as well.

Yes every one should spend thier money wisely. I completely agree with this and thats why I provided the information.

Our Slim Arm package is the LOWEST COST in the group buy! I could just promote our lowest cost if I just wanted to win sales.

We've been getting a lot of inquiries about our 260 swingarm Kits.
To answer some of the more commonly asked qusestions:
    1)"Is there a rounded Hump?" = No
2)"If no, Does the swingarm look like a piece was cut out of it?" = No
3)"If no, How do we do it?" Answer: We completely re-fabricate the right side and keep to the lines that the swingarm has which results in a wider "Stock Looking" swingarm, including the bottom braces. We've taken a lot of pride in designing this modification to look like it should have come from the factory this way.
4)"How many versions of the 260 mod do you offer?" = 1, our arm mod is desinged to be beat on day in and day out without Any Worries, so there is no need for any other version.
5)"What does our 260 modded swingarm look like?" =I've attached some pics below.

    Hope this helps
    Thanks,
    Eric

Re: Group Buy on Wide Tire Kits-Results pg8!!

Reza. The only reason I posted my comments is because it's an unsolicited and unbiased opinion. If any of the other vendors would have posted a response contradicting yours we would have had a "pi**ing match" which no one would benefit from.

I've been in marketing for over 30 years and I've seen pretty much everything. Use of cetain words can persuade someone to change their mind in an instant. EXAMPLE: "Cheaper" instead of "less expensive".
Cheaper conjures up visions of poor quality while less expensive doesn't.

If my reply rubbed you the wrong way, please accept my apology. I know your company was intrumental in designing the first phat tire kits for these bikes and that's a credit that's something we're all grateful for. But also I feel that everyone should understand that Henry Ford may have built the first automobile, but it doesn't necessarily mean that there aren't others out there that are equally as good or better, or less expensive.

    Thanks,
    Pep

Pep, no apology needed my friend. All I try to do is to privide information and I never want to put down anyone else's hard work or craftsmanship. I am not sophisticated in marketing or advertising and I want to reiterate my message was that we offer choices with pros and cons at good prices thats all.

I'm still leaning toward Matt or Jim but I'm not ready to commit to a company tonight. I have a couple hours off this evening but then I'm working long shifts the rest of the week thru Monday.

Hopefully we leave it open as long as the vendors said they would accept orders which, in at least one case, is 12-31-2007. Members have already started placing orders, and that's cool. There's no quantity discount for three vendors and its looking like PE won't get past the first level. There's no harm leaving it open.

I like the idea of all of us letting you know who we have ordered from so it can be posted on Page 1 in the top post.

I can leave it open as long as the other members and all the participating vendors want. Folks who already have made up their mind and are not dependent on the sliding discount from PE have the green light to go ahead with their orders (ie contact their vendor, arrange for shipment of cores and $$, etc).

With Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years, I hope people keep the Holidays in mind when they are thinking about turn around time the later they wait.

I'm not gonna get into posting which specific member has already chosen or which specific vendor was chosen by whom as I do not think it provides any benefit. You see a total number and a breakout of the vendor totals that should suffice I hope. If the particular member wants to publicize who he goes with, that's his prerogative.

I applaud the vendors for providing more info and insight to their own respective products as well as doing what they can to make the deal sweeter. I for one have learned alot after this endeavor.
Remember, if a single member gets a better deal out of this effort that they otherwise were not able to get before, then I view it as a success. If others can get just as good a deal or better, then all the more power to them and there is no harm done. As for all of you still analyzing this to death, God Bless You![;)]

Thanks alot Allan...now my head is relly swimming. Just when I thought I was starting to understand the offerings you drop knowledge like that. I guess I'm going to need a couple years of nightschool classes in advanced physics so I can actually make an informed decision. IMO it sounds like everyone has their favorite look and all the vendors seem to have great offerings and a good knowledge of what they are doing. The only thing that caught my attention was what a couple guys mentioned about clearance issues. At least there is plenty of examples of the work from these vendors already out there and the praises seem to far outweigh the complaints. Guess that is at least a good sign that you are spending your money wisely.
