Corbin STINGER on '04' Fitment Questions?

Seat doesn't latch out of the box so i removed both stock seat brackets from rear fender. The bracket for the tool case and the front bracket for the passenger pillon.
It looks like i need to bend the rear tail bracket and add shims to the bottom of the front bracket that snaps into the seat latch.
For trouble shooting i removed the front metal bracket and tried to latch it without the seat and it's still very tight.
Would appreciate any suggestions and solutions from someone that has hands on experience with '04' Stinger with similar problem.
Enclosing jpegs of parts discussed. Would have called Corbin but received seat late Friday!

If it doesn't fit, return to Corbin and let them make it right! Mine fit perfectly on my 02'. I would not mod that seat. It's under warranty!!!! I sat on mine first time in order to get lock set to click. Have you tried sitting on it?

    Alan,

Mine was hard to latch when I first put it on, had to sit on sit to get enough pressure to get latch to click. I had to add washers under the front bracket too. The rear fit a bit snug on mine, but I would rather have snug that loose.

That being said, I love this seat......

i love this seat also, had to sit on it to get it to latch,
almost broke the key to get it to come off, 50 miles of
    sitting on it. works perfect.

Same here. Mine was a bit difficult to latch when I first put it on. Had to sit on it as well. Only been on there a couple of weeks now but no more problems.

Same as others have said: Sit on it. It will loosen up/break in
just like the rest of the seat in time.

Re: Corbin STINGER on '04' Fitment Questions?

Added two washers to front bracket and seat now latches with some effort in the seating area.
To unlatch seat i repeat the above but operate key latch!
Great lumbar support and a lot less effort holding on at higher speeds. This seat definitely puts you further back in the saddle away from the bars and appears to be slightly higher. Feet are further ahead also as if i extended the controls. I like it
    Thanks for the help
