    Inner fender eliminator kit

Last summer I cut the rear fender off and had Matt at Performance Edge install an integrator kit in my tail light. I love the way it looks and it works great. But... I tried a side plate mount and I just dont like it. Has anyone installed or seen the "Inner fender eliminator kit" that Yamaha sells? I plan to remove the turn signals and reflectors from the kit and only mount the plate but Im curious how much of the rear tire it will cover up. I love the the look of having that rear tire exposed the way it is now since Ive been riding with no plate but thats just not a smart move. I just dont want it to look factory again. Id appreciate any input.

Redhorse has a great DIY on this. I did it to mine "Hi Res Picture in gallery" and it works great. Removed the reflectors but not the signals

I think I should have read a little closer before responding. Sounds like you have no fender to chop. Sorry. The DIY should work on the Yamaha kit though.

One of my worries is that because I already chopped it prior to seeing the requirements of the kit, it may not work? I guess I'll see...

You should be fine, the Yami kits comes with all the mounts. You will prob want to Dremel off the tabs for the signals. I plan on getting the new UFO kit, so out comes the Dremel.

This is what the Yami kit looks like with the signals on of course and a Yami plate frame.

I have the baron's kit. I really like it! You can see what it looks like on their site. It does have tabs for signals though that would need to be cut off. I am not sure if it will work with a 240 kit and lowered though. I rub once in a while with 2-up riding.

Installed Barons plate kit but had to bend, cut and move more to back cause it rubbed when I released tricky air.

There is a "side shot" in my gallery. It's a nice kit. One of the few items Yamaha makes that is nice.
