    Re: Perfect PCIII install

Thanks Mark...I see now. I was under the impression that it came from the PCIII, not the ECU. I must've missed it!

It's going to be much, much easier now!Huh?

I agree. Sounds like with the latest release, dynojet has fixed the problem. If the black/white wire runs all the way to the tps and is not connected to the black wire, you should be all set.

Let us know where you got your PCIII so we know who's got the latest batch and are not selling old stock.

    Re: Perfect PCIII install

Dynojet has made the corrections brought forward by the Perfect Install so the newest version does not require Perfect Install.

    Re: Perfect PCIII install

I finally did the "Perfect PC111" install today. I've followed the directions and did all the wiring correctly. But i'm having problems understanding the procedure with resetting the TPS etc. Can any one explain in detail the steps on this? A step by step break down on how to reset the min and max TPS values inside the PC111 software etc. The 0% with the engine idling and the 100% for WOT. etc. I'm some what confused and not sure if i did it correctly. Basically the whole procedure using the Power Commander software and resetting the map. If someone who has done this correctly could you please explain it to me. I'm not the brightest when it comes to this part. Much appreciation, Thanks !

    Re: Perfect PCIII install

First, I don't think this can be done from your computer with the PC3 disconnected and on battery-pack.  You need to have your computer connected directly to your PC3 and your PC3 installed on your bike.  That being said, the process is so simple that it sounds hard, so DynoJet put an on-line learning file on its website.  There's a link to it in the Popular Mods topic (and there's a link to Popular Mods in my signature picture below).  Look under ECU in Popular Mods.

Also you can go to: http://www.powercommander.com/powercommander_iii_usb/powercommander_general_downloads.aspx

See Item #10 and click on it for the tutorial.  Its a one minute adjustment.  I might sound like a broken record but read everything and also make sure before you set zero% or 100% that:

    • All 4 spark plugs are clean and gapped.
    • Air filter(s) are clean.
    • WARM idle is set to 850~950 rpm preferably using the PC3 software for ease.

BTW you seldom need to set 100% throttle.  The materials will explain why, and when.

I did have the pc111 connected (hard wired in) to the bike and the computer connected to the pc111. I just didn't understand the procedure when hooked up to the computer and opening the dyno jet software. I wasn't exactly sure how to adjust it. Thanks Arizona Warrior for the link on the tutorials.

    Re: Perfect PCIII install

I just wanted to throw this out there.  I just installed my power commander and the difference is amazing.  It feels like a completely different bike.
