Re: Model Year Differences 2002 to 2008

Hi Bruce - that's very interesting thank you for clearing that up for me - i've fitted the 2005 to mine and it now covers the side plate and i can see on yours it's positioned below the plate - so 4 more bolts to take off before i can access that - but it does the job very well as you say - i have taken a couple of pics and put them in my gallery for the record - love the colour of your bike by the way - hadn't realised that the 2005 on have different lower fitting arms - when you view them on the yami parts drawings they are shown as identical even the holes for the guiode are shown vertical for your bike!!? hence my being misled into buying 2005 guide - anyway i threaded 5mm stainless buttons to fit guide seems to do the job even if i push hard against it, doesn't make contact with plate - Now all i've got to do is loose the rest of the rubber on header without wearing away anymore chrome - it's lost the lustre of the original now damn it! - and yours is just so bright!! - best regards tomba

I use Wynn's carburetor cleaner to clean shoe rubber off the pipe...with a cloth ... so no scratching or dulling!

OK I've added everything posted and PM'd up to today and the update is posted on page one.

Thanks everyone, and as always if anyone can 'second' a line item chime in.

BTW does anyone know what model year started the 30mm drive pulley bolt, or was it an '08 change?

From the picture on the Star website, does it look like the 2009 Warrior has front rotors with seven bolts?  It sure looks like more than five bolts like the '06-'08.  The '02-'05 models had the six-bolt front rotors, but it looks like there's an extra in the picture.  Does anyone know?

Surprise I thought you had this covered already Hmm ... I don't know the socket size but the design change is model year 2006.

Radial calipers, blah blah blah and new designed middle shaft, trani output shaft, both nuts, etc.

    ONAGER:
04+ bikes have repositioned passenger peg set, the repositioned pegs bring them forward and down, compared to the 02-03 set

and the heel guards are different [went from vertical to horizantal] also the fix threads changed from vertical to horizantal - didn't have a shield on my '03 for some reason and tried to fit '05 shield having checked the manual diagram carefully only to find i had to tap new threads to fit it - it fits ok but as the pegs are higher it covers the side panel - photos in gallery
