    Barons rear brake reservoir

Have any of you guys used the Barons rear brake reservoir?

I want to get rid of the standard one which is currently fitted to the bracket that came with the V & H Bigshots.

Any input good, bad or indifferent.

yes, i have one. works great. a little creative hose cutting when you remove the stock tubing will give you the bend you need for a very nice and kink free installation.

This is slightly off topic, but I think relevant. I had my rear fender off (was considering a fiberglass tail) and decided to run a bolt through the wall next to the battery to hold the brake res. It sits there real nice with the stock padding for the rear fender to rub against. However, I then decided I wanted to put my rear fender back on for a bit and so I used my hands and bent the front back about 1" to fit over the brake res. I don't have any pics, but it worked slick, you can't see the bend unless you're under the bike. Completely hides/protects the brake res and is safer IMO than the banjo option. Downside is you have to pull the fender to check the level, but how often do we really do that anyway.

I have it on my bike and it was a piece of cake to put on and looks great. Really cleans up the look of the bike. The down side is trying to check/fill the reservoir.

Just my .02 .... but locating the brake fluid reservoir below the caliper bleeder screw is less efficient IMO [:0] [:)]

I recall a couple of members having cracks in theirs but I can't remember where they cracked at.

Just got one of these. Seems like it is going to be a PITA to do initial install and bleed. Any suggestions from those that have trial and errored it?

    Re: Barons rear brake reservoir

I read somewhere that the only problem someone had with the reservoir was that the little bracket that holds it to the frame broke and he had to zip tie it back to the frame.I was going to get one,but after hearing that I just eliminated the stock one,and used the banjo bolt, and ran the hose up on top of the oil tank. Its been that way for over 2 years with no problems yet.

I just moved my stock resivoir under the seat. Much cheaper, kept up high, and you can not see it.
