I recently bought this horn from a member of the community and since I didn't want to mount it in the area where the stock horn was located, I made a bracket and installed it above the chin fairing. I'm trying to think of a way to make another type of bracket that would not have to use hose clamps.. To be continued (but, I don't think it looks too bad the way it is).

I just pulled up that part and that is exactly what I was looking for! That will work and look 100% better than the painted hose clamps! Thank you for the tip.
I also think that it looks really good mounted where it is at plus it is in the vertical position so I shouldn't have any issues with compressor failure as well.
whats wrong with the 2 bolts holding the chin fairing on? btk572
I could have mounted it using one of the bolts (the WOLO has only 1 mounting point on the back of it) and it would have laid the horn down horizontally.

so if the horn has one mounting bolt it must have one bolt holding that bracket on or something so use the one mount hole ans bolt it to a bracket with three holes one for the horn bracket and the other two would line up with the frame bolts at the top of the chin fairing. i can see that .btk572
Personally, I don't think it looks good there.
But more importantly, when you compress our forks, does your fender clear it? And are you impeding airflow to the rectifier?
Well... I hit a pothole the other day that compressed the forks enough to scratch the front fender a little bit (nothing that a little finish restore didn't take off). I used the same piece I made with a couple of larger hose clamps and mounted it in the empty space of the chin fairing. I like it a lot better and it is still very loud. Pictures to follow.
looks good bro. now just to get that pesky rear brake resevior underneath the seat, and get rid of the massive bracket... nice job though
X2 made a bracket to put the stock horn inside the chin faring. I also removed the rear brake resevoir and just have it laying under the seat in a upright position. It's been like that for over a year.
Great idea guys on the rear brake reservoir. My next project begins tonight!
