Cycle World Best Used Bikes (April Issue)

Just got my April issue of Cycle World and the Warrior is this months "Best Used Bike"

    A quote from the article:

"The Warrior still kicks ass, and you can two of them for what your Harley dealer gets for a V-Rod"

It also goes on to talk about Forums dedicated to the Warrior. So I guess this forum, indirectly, made it in Cycle World magazine. I'll drink to thatBeerYes

My Warrior is worth quite a bit to me even though I didn't have to may much for it.  That tells me it was a "good deal".  The Benz is not worth 3 Cameries just like the Harley is not worth 2 Warriors.  Unless of course you don't mind paying for the name and or status that comes with the purchase.  Don't get me wrong, that is very important to many and there is nothing wrong with that.  Benz and Harley make great products,  I just don't happen to think that they can be considered great values (bang for your buck, if you will).  Just my opinion.

I agree with your opinion. If I had wanted to buy the name, I could have bought the name. But I wanted the bike that suited me and my idea of what I wanted to ride.

When everything seems to be coming right at you.... You are probably in the wrong lane.

INJEKTER .. ROTFLMAO ... or should i say cry .... there's certainly some truth to this though and it hurts ... I have more money into what i call Other_Mods which doesn't include the laundry list of Yamaha aftermarket billet accessories @ $3000.00 then most of the second owners have paid for their bikes. Of course in the earlier days a 15% discount was a big deal and 20% was a steal!

Randy .... your OP is excellent news as i've been on a mission for a project bike since Dec '09' and the Cycle World Best Used Bikes has been my Bench Mark for this quest. I guess i'll just save my money and ride on ... haven't received my CW Apr issue yet

Must be rough ,...half the world and their poodles are running around wearing Harley gear and you have to come to the Warrior forum for your socialization. Did you not pay your HOG dues or something ??  Lol... I guess we are obviously a more unique and free thinking bunch though...maybe that explains it !Cool

I have a confession to make.  Please don't judge me too harshly.  I have.... a pair of harley boots.  Now before you start yelling let me explain.  My girlfriend bought them for me for Christmas and I didnt have the heart to tell her I dont want any Harley ***.  I just figured a would wear them to please her.  Personally I prefer my *** kickers while Im riding.  I must say, however, aside from being heavy, they are actually quite comfortable.  I just make sure Im wearing pants that cover all the Harley logos.  I feel like such a hipocrite.

The real sad thing is that your girlfriend while meaning well, probably paid dearly for those boots just because of the very logo that you are trying to hide. Tongue Tied
