    Well, you need to go find yourself a new chromer, especially if they chrome it as 1 piece when it is a 2 piece job. Bolts have to be removed and parts cleaned and dipped prior to chroming process. Any moisture between those 2 seperate pieces will ruin the chrome process leading to bad chrome, bubbles, flaking etc.

    thanks for the info, my pulley was powdercoated but I'll check the bolts now. Just thinking about that is scarry cuz its so easy to happen, wonder if the chromers are aware of this[V].

    i would have to agree that it's good to see this posted up again for anyone who missed it the first time, no telling how many lives this post may have saved  Yes but dont think by buying rc wheels and pulleys your exempt from this cause their pulleys are bolted together alsoWink

    I wrote Reza about this a few weeks ago. One of the few emails I never heard back on. I am hoping this is an oversight on his part. I know he follows this board. Hopefully, he will address this as I too have a chromed pulley. Checked my allens and they were pretty tight. Hopefully the chromers are checking this. Thanks for the "heads up."
