I stopped going every year when all the hotel rooms magically became 4x normal prices. We managed to get a place at the Colorado Belle maybe three years ago at normal rate. The event was always fun when it was smaller, but it got too big for its britches, and it outgrew the ability of local lodging to keep prices reasonable. Same thing happened in Reno at Street Vibrations. Maybe with the economy the way it is, prices will come back down to planet earth for 2010 who knows. Maybe I'll check it out.
