I suppose it's a matter of perspective. If you think Chicago politics are as corrupt as Jersey "anything". Then it isn't a stretch to think that Obama is just living up to deals made pre-election for the support he received. I don't think it's that far fetched.

Who owns the prison?? Whose making money on the deal? Those are the questions I have..

 

Currently its owned by the Illinois Department of Corrections and was paid for by Illinois Taxpayers with a % coming from Federal grants for law enforcement.

Who makes money? ????? That area is about as far as you can get from Chicago and Springfield politics so I don't know, probably not the usual suspects. They say it MAY bring as many as 3000 jobs to an area that needs them. If being prior military helps me get work there I'll play the card and move closer if I have to. Ive been out of work since September, hopefully I make some money in the deal.

There's a middle ground.  We just don't feel like arguing with lunatics from both fronts. 

They don't need to buy a prison to house terrorists.  GITMO is there, paid for, and doing fine. Why bring terrorists home?  There is no logic to that.  If their buds want to try to free them, and succeed, then they are roaming around in Cuba, not the USA.  Sounds good to me.

They have an empty prison in Illinois???? Don't you other wacko right-wing extremists worry about the sane folks in charge now of the Congress, Senate and the brain trust in the Executive branch. They have everything under control..... remember as the Honorable Nancy Pelosi explained, without them there would be over 500 million (that's what she said) jobs lost in the U.S.'s 57 states (she didn't number the States, that was Obamas call on the number ) I guess he suffered teleprompter failure. Anyhow, everything is under control, more money is being spent than in the ENTIRE history of the country....and WAY more spending is RUSHING toward happening as soon as they can. Stop worrying, they know what they are doing......
