Voice out your opinion on Health Care Reform

I'm not into Politics until lately with this Health Care Reform. I'm like most hard working Americans that earns a living the old fashion way. "When you want something, work for it!"

However, when the government start to mess around and throw away tax money I paid for working my A$$ off so unemployed peeps can sit around and benefit from it. THAT'S NOT RIGHT!

Call your representative at this moment and tell them "NO" to this Health Care Crap!

I'm also not that vocal, but I think enough is enough.  Vote them all out of office and then make them have the same health benefits as us.  Do away with all their "special" perks like insurance, and retirement and see how much things change.  If not, then tax them to death for their excessive health benefits like they want to do to everyone else.  One last thing, if you owe back taxes or don't pay, you should not be allowed to be a government employee and sent treated like the rest of us.

I know the voices aren't real, but they do have some good ideas.

I want to die while asleep like my grandfather, not screaming in terror like the passengers in his car.

Umm, that's kinda the point.  The majority of people in office now are trying to change things to make them better for working stiffs.  There is a small group at the top of the food chain paying loud mouths to confuse impressionable imbeciles.  It appears to be working.  Better that you quiet the imbeciles than forgo a chance to attain affordable healthcare.  Good luck!

Just 4 or 5 years ago it was Patriotic to question the current administration and protest, no matter how extreme it seemed and no matter if it resembled HATE speech.

Now if you voice any dissenting opinion you get labeled as an extremist by your own government.  Even the Veterans.

Are you confessing to be an impressionable imbecile?  OR are you referring to anyone who disagreees with your point of view?  Ahhh, nevermind, you don't need to answer.

It would be completely patriotic if there was a question or even a justifiable criticism.  Hopping up and down and screaming SOCIALIST at the top of one's lungs doesn't count.

Of couse I don't because you know full well to whom I'm referring.  And it isn't people who *think* any particular way, it's to people who can't think at all for themselves and instead parrot they're daily spoonfed nonsense.  Three hours a day is all they ask...

I think we should take care of people that cannot take care of themselves. My problem is most of the taxpayers money will go to support people capable of doing it themselves but are too lazy or stupid. So in it's current form it should fail.

Re: Voice out your opinion on Health Care Reform

You say affordable healthcare, who do you think will pay for it? We cannot expect to insure everyone in the country and pay less than we are now. Sounds like Medicare or social security, in the end the few pay for the many and the government cannot balance a checkbook. It would be a shame to see our healthcare industry go bankrupt like all other government programs. The current government is not "trying to make things better for working stiffs", they are expecting them to front the bill for the non-working stiffs. And to insult someone who only gets involved when their freedom is at risk makes you the imbecile, we are all entitled to our opinions weather right, wrong or in your case just plain stupid.

Well, it's a done deal now.  220 - 215 in the House vote tonight.  Guess you better start calling your Senators now.

Re: Voice out your opinion on Health Care Reform

Could someone please refresh my memory, but when was the last time a bill that got this much press failed to pass?

I don't have insurance now, can't afford it, but I fail to see how this is going to help the country in any way.  Pelosi even compared the victory vote to the passing of Social Security and later Medicare and those government ran programs are so bloated and full of corruption, I can't imagine how bad this will end.  I guess it's appropriate that the first procedure that I have done with my new gubment sponsored insurance will most likely be a prostate exam, since I'll already be in the right position.  BOHICA...

Everyone is already covered except for lower end working people.  The poor just use hospital ERs which cost us a fortune.

The Asians are picking up the tab either way...and there are lots of them.

    danielmp:

Won't happen until everyone loses their job.  You can buy a Toyota and put GM out of business, but you ain't going to Japan for treatment if you get sick.

    danielmp:
The current government is not "trying to make things better for working stiffs", they are expecting them to front the bill for the non-working stiffs.

This is the critical part that people miss.  Let me be clear, *YOU ARE ALREADY PAYING FOR THE INDIGENTS.*

    danielmp:
      And to insult someone

Who did I insult?  Advising people not to rant about things they don't understand isn't an insult, it's sound advice.

    danielmp:
who only gets involved when their freedom is at risk

Freedom?  Put down the bong already.

    danielmp:
we are all entitled to our opinions

The problem is too many espouse opinions devoid of facts or basis in reality.  Better to form an opinion AFTER you know something about an issue rather than before hand.  Note: listening to Glenn Beck screech for an hour on Faux news does not count as an education.

A simple example, getting folks relatively inexpensive care for chronic conditions like diabetes is considerably cheaper than have to deal with them once they are blind amputees with bad kidneys. So there is a two fold benefit to society there, healthier citizens and lower cost care for all.

    CADFather:
Pelosi even compared the victory vote to the passing of Social Security and later Medicare and those government ran programs are so bloated and full of corruption, I can't imagine how bad this will end.

We should have listened to Al Gore and kept funding for those programs in a "locked box."  Instead, the Republicans get to raid it and use the money for nation building et al.  Not the fault of the program, but poor regulations and enforcement in its implementation. Besides, what is the alternative, let poverty strickened elderly people starve to death?

    CADFather:

You can always leave your gubment sponsored insurance card at home and pay for your exams out of your own pocket.
