C'mon Meatball - you know better than to create straw-man arguments.  He's not talking about discrimination or internment camps.  He's talking about paying closer attention to certain groups based upon disproportunately high levels of criminal activity within those groups.  You have to follow the evidence wherever it leads, even though doing so will upset some people.

If your car gets stolen, was it more likely the shady guy who runs a chop-shop out of his garage, or his next-door neighbor the accountant?  You're not going to automatically throw the shady guy in jail, but you'll probably check him out first.  Some people would call that "profiling".  I'd call it "good detective work".

Agreed. I would say follow the facts, what details point in what direction. You would be more worried about your brother who is a junkie stealing from you to get his next fix then you would be then your other brother who is just broke and cant find a job.

Now if it's true and some of the other things (posting on web about suicide bombers) I don't think he was that crazy.

I also agree with Craig, profiling is and can be used to catch criminals and maybe the FBI should have

Heh.  I think it's been made pretty clear that most of the Christians around here couldn't give two sh!ts what Jesus would do.
