There was a WHOLE other funny side to this definition change too. On one of the Satellite shows I was listening too, the started talking about the Episode. One of the Hosts on the show is Gay and and likes to debate Gay Rights. He HONESTLY BELIEVES that this episode is a step in a positive direction for the Gay Community. It takes the term and uses it in a way that takes the Gay Slur away from it. It "made the word less offensive". By showing the "f word" in a different context, it makes it less of a HATE term against gays. seriously.

Also, the other underlying theme here is there is this campaign on tv to get teenagers to stop saying "gay" in the context like "that shirt is soo gay" or "this movie is hella gay". I think one tv spot has Hillary Duff. It can be argued that the definition is changed as to not imply that the shirt makes you look like a homosexual, but that it makes you look retarded..um I mean stupid...err you know what I mean. Needless to say I think the whole campaign is well...pretty gay.

Yes, exactly. There is also a spot with Wanda Sykes telling some teenage guys to "Knock it off". I think its funny they are putting so much into their efforts. I agree...Giggity, Giggity, GAY.

GLAAD protests 'South Park' f-bomb episode

The Gay & *** Alliance Against Defamation is coming out against Wednesday's "South Park" episode that attempted to re-define the word "***."

In the episode, the "South Park" gang rally their Colorado town to use the anti-gay slur to refer to "annoying and inconsiderate" riders of Harley Davidson motorcycles. Local gays initially take offense the boys' use of the world, then get on board with the re-branding after noting the word is "never going to disappear, [it's] simply too much fun to say."

GLAAD says they get the joke ... they just didn't find it very funny.

Thats HILARIOUS! GLAAD comes out (pun intended) against some pretty silly things but this has to be one of the top few. Its funny how some Gays thought it was a great step in the right direction, turning this term into something other than a slur against Gays. Then, the group that is supposed to be looking out for the Interests of all Gays And Les-b-ans ( why is that censored?) comes outs against it. Tooo funny. Thanks for the link.
