    Tour 2009 U.K to Greece & Back 6400 miles!

    Hi All,

I haven`t had much time since getting back so sorry for the delay in posting some photos, better late than never I guess..

Here is a link to some photos of my tour from the U.K to Greece and back totalling 6400 miles http://www.flickr.com/photos/27389275@N06/sets/72157622489688453/

    Or Slideshow version: http://www.flickr.com/photos/27389275@N06/sets/72157622489688453/show/

Country and border list in order:

U.K, France, Germany, Switerland, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, Greece, Back to Italy via ferry (Brindisi), Calabria then northwards taking in Salerno, Napol. Rome, Perugia, Florence, Forli, Bolognia, Milan and everywhere inbetween avoiding the tolls and main highways as much as was possible Back through Switerland, Germany (Black forest), Belgium to Calais (Had my money and all my documents stolen at this point).

On this tour I met some great people, and rode some incredible roads and had many many heart stopping moments, Albanian mountain roads in the pissing rain that dissappear when you crest the hill and Italian city centers come to mind.

The Beast only messed me about once the whole tour on the journey home through belgium, It pissed with rain and was a total white wall of spray from the trucks, some water had got into the TPS connector and caused the bike to stutter.

Having had problems with the TPS before I left for the tour it was the first thing I checked,10 minutes later and some WD40 I was good to go.

So happy was I to be on the move I left my bag with all my documnets !!!!!!!!!! Swearing insued and I turned off at the next exit to return to where I had stopped unfortunalty the bag had gone, surprise surprise. The local police helped me scour the roadside verge and amazingly we found some credit cards and other bits from the bag so I could buy a chunnel ticket in Calais.

All in all an amazing trip, Spolied slightly by loss of some documnets passport etc which made entering the U.K fun and games :)

Have a look at the photos on the Flickr link, I`ll try to tag some in the future but havent got time at the moment and heres tons more to add, sorry some of the phots of germany came out blurry my camera was on the way out I think as it broke for good in greece.

    Cheers Jammo (Jools)

    Hi Tom :),

Super memories. i`ll have to get some pics of the german part as alot of mine are very blurred, my camera was fecked..grr.. ah well always 2010 to take more pics...

New exhaust is on and sounding very good feels like the bike wants to really go with the VBAK as well, badger(bob) has sent me his MAP for the PC3 USB I`ll probably load it up on sunday and give it a spin :) whooohoo!

Had a problem taking off the Bazooka`s rear header after I had a spill it must have bent, twisted one of the allen head bolts, tried soaking it in WD40, AFC50 and other penetrating oils over night but it wouldn`t shift more than 2 turns before locking up then snapping off in the rear header..opps! lots of swearing and throwing of things..lol

Had a cup of tea, and time to chill out and think a bit, then out came the drill to get it out drilled it out and then tapped the threads again to clean it up...joy!

V & H went on without too many problems..:)

Gis a call tomorrow I`m about all day mate.
