    the truth!!

I have read several posts about Warriors beating up on v-rods. i have also read that there is no way this can happen with a Warrior.what engine mods does one have to do to just to keep up with these things? Im not talking about hi speed just from point "A" to point "B". whether it be in the 1/8 or 1/4 mile. who out there has done it? i also want to scare the chit out of them v_rod  things!

No way a Warrior with equal rider beats a v-rod in the 1/8th or 1/4 unless you drop a bunch of money in it. Isn't that what Hardley owners do?

Ive raced a V Rod Destroyer at the track 1/8mile I run 7.812 with the best of 7.7569  He runs 6.25 with a best 6.21on the Destroyer. the destroyer is rated at170hp out of the box and I think the motors 1300cc so its not really like racing a stock v rod  but if one does show up Ill let you know how it does.I have a new best last Saterday 10/10/09 ran a 7.738

very impressive bike shadowYes!!! i am going to upgrade to the hi comp pistons next year and have the heads ported out. was thinking about upgrading the cams but have read that it is not nesessary to replace the lifters? as a drag racer, by experience it is a must to replace the lifters in an automotive application. why not in the Warrior? thanks for the replies gentlemen.... oh yeah, and keep me posted on what the stock v-rods run...

ALWAYS replace the lifters when going to new cams.

i was looking at the v-rod destroyer... this is not a street bike! you should not be compairing your street bike to an all out race bike. what rps are you launching at? i would have guessed that the drive belt would have torn by the amount of torque your biike is making. i hope my bike runs as quick as your bike.

    Re: the truth!!

That is a good 1/8 mile time. My bike has the full speedstar upgrade and a pc3 with monster pro pipe and 31 tooth ft pulley I am running a downloaded map from dynojet need to get custom map and would make more hp and tq bike dynoed at 90hp and 110 ftlb my best 1/8 mile to date is a 7.52 best 1/4 mile 12.00 the air here in odessa tx is not real good about 4500 to 5600 corrected bike would run 11.50  1/4 mile easy at closer to sea level like at Houston dragway.

    Can you hear me now

I would not consider a destroyer close to a stock V rod.  Very impressive times.

I am just here so Eric (MTAZEMAN) doesn't screw up his bike.

Wow Shadow those are impressive times, almost 2 tenths faster than my stock Rocket III, with my big ol' crippled butt on it.  It was running consistant 7.9's with a best of 7.82.  I gotta get the Rocket back to the track, it's hasn't been raced since WarriorFest III and it ain't exactly stock anymore.

TY I really had no idea were I stood compared to other bikes until another warrior showed up and i was about 2 tenth faster than him and 4-5 mph faster dosnt sound like much until you try to go 1 or 2 mph faster  than youve been running, and when you gain a couple hundreths  it starts to feel like a big deal  because they dont come easy
