from an article in MCN this week - given the way we are persecuted by police and other authorities at the moment - being pulled over without due cause - being handed ASBO type punishment causing bike confiscation - we propose the following solution..

At the next census [only 2 years away] we declare our religion to be 'BIKER' - this way as with Jedi, it will become a documented faith!

And as religious persecution is prevented in the UK by law...the police and the courts will have to follow a proper 'break the law and be punished' approach and not doing 'well you were not doing what we wanted ' attitude

This will ensure the cops will have to follow the law properly and result in random stopping and checks without good cause being a criminal offence!!

If Biker is to be a new religion [everyone is free to believe as they choose - why not more than one belief - i believe in SODS law after all] we could have anew patch!!...lol

Is this the same  law that allows you wear a "turbo"on your head (sorry i meant turban) instead of a helmet ?     ......Frec....U.K...

your right... good question on that thread...how does our new religion work...spiritual?....love of nature?...sun...wind...rain!!...country roads...like minded friends...we respect snow and ice enough not do battle with it...lol...we are in tune with nature and the natural order of things..which excludes plod stealing our time 'cause they're bored...no order even the 'plod' have a perfect society...all they can do like us, is try to 're educate' those that don't appreciate freedom...and democracy.....how about jedi riders...lol

I think this is a terrible idea! Think of the schisms that will erupt as a result. Metric vs. H-D, cruiser vs. sportbike, where will it end? Will there be holy wars? Will there be bombings by the Royal Enfield Republican Army?

I'm in, I'd like to be baptised in synthetic 20-50. When I go to tinker with or clean up the bike on Sunday I tell everyone I'm off to "church". Best part is I always feel better after a little quality time with the bike knowing I did something constructive instead of being a lazy d-bag on Sunday which I usually was in my pre-warrior life. If you string enough fancy words together and throw them at the gov't maybe, just maybe we could amass a larger following than the Jedi. Also we would be way more Badazz than jedi.
