    06 Warrior..What's a good deal?

A local dealer has an 06 on the floor for a while now..ALL stock 6k miles. He's asking $8600. That sounds steep..What would be a good price for the bike?

I just picked up a 2006 with 13,000 miles... Reinhart pipes, custom risers with drag bars, new rubber on both ends and non-stock paint job for $6K.

I just got my Warrior 07 with 900 miles reinhart pipes, cobra ECU, handlebars, etc... see my profile for $7,800, a little more than what you see outthere ($6.5 - $7K), but it is litteraly like new with lots of custom accessories.  This should help you in your desicion. My suggestion is to go with a private seller, you get better deals, unless the dealer adds lots of freebies. Good luck.

I bought my '06 this past April for $6300.  It had 2215 miles and came with Samson Ripsaws, PCIII, Patrick BAK, coil reloc, rear bullet turnsignals and lowered.  Also included were two helmets (one half, one full face), a textile/leather jacket, Mil Spec vest, battery tender, original take off parts from mods, back support, four and a half pairs of gloves, Wiley X goggles, and a loose leaf copy of the shop manual in a 3-ring binder.

Based on a NYC zip code, *Kelly Blue Book shows:

    * known to be inflated right now

2006 Yamaha Road Star Warrior Value

    October 1, 2009
    • 2-Cylinders
    • 4-Stroke
    • 1670cc
    Suggested Retail Value $8185

The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the unit has been fully reconditioned and is in excellent condition. Mileage/condition and additional equipment may have a substantial impact on the value shown above. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the unit's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions.

Wait until the first snow and offer him 5k.

I got an 05 midnight from a dealer for $6700, it came with a 1-off danny gray seat, lowered 2", bub pipes, power commander, drag bars & braided lines.

I think for $8600 you can pick up a pretty 'dressed up' bike instead of one all stock.  I'd keep looking.

This is great advice.....this is what you need to do.  They will be so desperate to sell they will give it away
