    so they killed the warrior?

I was looking on the yami website today and saw that their 2010 lineup does not include a warrior. everyone here may already know this,... hard to believe, and even harder to believe they made them for 8 years. would have loved to see the larger raider engine find its way into an updated warrior frame.

Was talking to one of the salesmen from a local Yamaha dealer today about the demise of the Warrior. His opinion was that there is a new, updated Warrior in the future. Let's hope so. But so far I would file this under the R tab, for rumor.

I don't think the warrior is enuff of a seller to revamp one.The big fad now is bobbers and Raider styled bikes or those lame azz parking lot queen turds.

Funny...my dealer said the same thing when I talked to him about it....but went even further to say "...maybe they have some improvements like ABS or something coming but just wasn't timed right for the 2010 release"....maybe they know something they're not telling us ?!?  I'll consider it all rumour though until we see something concrete.  Sure would hate to see the beast go though! Huh?

Wouldn't a concrete warrior be heavy, slow and a bad handler? Surprise

Yeah, it's been posted in at least 4 other topics that I've read recently but I'm not sure I believe yet that it's gone because for the last two years they've updated their website without including the Warrior until much later.  If they're selling them in Canada it seems unlikely that they wouldn't here but we'll see.

If the Warrior is truly done and gone from Yamaha's US line up, then we have all been blessed to be a part of it's short history. Canada gets the Warrior this year, with the midnight sporting gold instead of red. I think that they're doing with the Warrior what was done with the V-Max. The Warrior is a very specific machine, with an almost cult like following, and doesn't look or act like many or any others on the market.

It would be nice to see it return with a dose of V-Max sized improvements, and really stomp the competition....... and I mean really stomp it!

Not a problem.  All you'll have to do is wait a few years and buy a used one.Sad

They just raised the price on the vmax $1500 I wouldn't count on a price decrease. I am shocked the warrior is gone. I see alot more warriors than vmaxs and the vmax has been around three times as long.

I just went b my local dealer saturday and they said that they are not expecting to see the warrior for 2010 and the 1 still new 09 that they have they are selling for $10,150 after a $2,150 price cutt. So ya I am afraid this may be it for the beast in the US.

im sorry i'm new here, what is that?     if they ever put the bigger mill into a Warrior they had better improve the seat as well so you don't go flying of the back.Indifferent

i actually think they're doing some kind of work on it.  yeah it's not confirmed but look at the other bikes that are still selling and came after the warrior.  m109s and V-rods are still being seen in a lot of numbers.  I hope Yamaha is steping up to the plate and make their bike, that won many races for them year after year even better.  I'll be honest the Raider is not for me.  it looks really cool, but just like the Furry, it's an off-the-line manufactured chopper.  Choppers were meant to be custom.

As it stands, the Warrior lacks power, upgraded technology, and looks (although, i prefer the look over the other ones) compared to the other bikes in it's class.
