    PC III question

I got my PC III installed.  I plugged it in to my PC, I loaded the map for my setup (Big shots, stock air box) and I sent it to the pc III.

Is that all?  I started it, ran around the neighborhood, it all seems OK.

Do I need to do anything else?

    TIA

Did you make sure the Throttle position was set correctly? match the bike to the PCIII.  You may need to Dyno tune it to get 100% out of it. You hook it up do digital ground? If not you should, there is a link on this site to follow.  Other than that it sounds like your good to go.

    Re: PC III question

If its a new store-bought PC3USB then it was probably all plug-and-play including the TPS plug.  On the other hand, if your PC3 had any wires without plugs (except the ground wire) and you had a crimp-on wire connector at the TPS (right side between the jugs) then let us know and we can help you to 'Perfect Install' the PC3.

You'll want to do these things:

    1. Clean air filters.

    2. Clean and adjust spark plug gaps.

    3. Be sure plug wires are firmly installed onto the spark plugs.

    4. Be sure coil primary wires are gently but firmly installed onto their tabs.

    5. Start the bike and get it fully warm (ride 5 minutes or idle similar time).

    6. Set the warm idle to 850~950 rpm (use the PowerCommander software and a laptop if possible).

    7. Set the "Closed" (Zero % Throttle) at warm idle to zero (see this link - use Tutorial 10) (ignore setting 100% throttle its already set):

    http://www.powercommander.com/powercommander/Downloads/powercommander_iii_usb_downloads.aspx

    That'll do it.

Yeah, that's pretty much it.  I always like to click on "get map", so that I can verify, that indeed, I uploaded the map to my pcIII.  The only thing left to do is to set the throttle closed and wide open settings.  Make sure the key is one, but bike not running, then click, and your values are set.
