Try vista cruise.  I have one on mine and it works pretty well to give your hand a rest for a few minutes.  Engine vibrations tend to affect some.  I have to keep adjusting mine.  I found mine on E-bay.  If memory serves me correctly they are in the neighborhood of $30-$40 new.

Break-away cruise control. It's not a cruise actually, it's a throttle lock. It'll fit stock Warrior grips, and I wouldn't ride without one. It's pricey but you get what you pay for. Ride safe. Larry.

Vista cruise is the way to go!  I just rode all the way to Biloxi, MS and back, what a hand saver.  Dont forget the Warrior has 1 inch bars.

Brake-Away Cruise shuts off when you pull the front brake lever.  http://www.brakeawayproducts.com/

Its on sale right now on cruiser customizing:

Another vote for the Vista Cruise.  I put it on two weeks and 1500 miles ago... no problems.

It's not as pretty as the Brake Away but on a midnight with black bars it blends in just fine and of course it's much cheaper.

The only thing I can say is that a throttle lock on a big torque twin and my previous ride, a high revving sport touring bike, are different creatures.  I found it hard to maintain a speed in the hills of West Virginia but it gave my right hand all the short breaks it needed.

One more vote for vista cruise

For the money, $30, it works well when not in traffic. I can flip my thumb just as fast as I can grab the brake.

+1 on the vista lock . Work for me just great! Plus it was cheap

Just remember if Yamaha really is dumping the warrior in 2010. Then we all have a collectors bikes now...

+1 Vista cruise. I've had it on my '02 for 4 years, no problems. A great $30.00 hand saver.

    Re: Throttle lock?

Iv'e used the Vista on other bikes, they work well and are cheap!  But you have to make room for them on the handle bars. In my opinion they look cheap,. If they chromed the the mount arm it would look better. With black bars the Vista would probably blend right in and look good.

The BrakeAway is cleaner looking. You might want to also look at the 50's Boy Throttler, looks good on the Warrior www.50sboy.com  Don't let the price scare you. You can find them at dealers way cheaper than buying direct from 50's Boy.
