I am sorry for your Families lost My Friend. I am glad you and your father had a special relationship. Your story has inspired me to be a better father and hopefully one of these days I can be a good friend to my son. Prayer's sent my friend. Take Care.

Always remember, You were there with him when he needed you most and when he didn't. That gives you infinite gratefulness to yourself because you did something that is like a cycle, he took care of you when child and now you DID took care for him. This gives you peace and strenght to carry on for life, trust me. I talk like this because your experience happened to me with my mother...  I am what I am thanks for her and for my dad. My toughts are with you

My condolences, Dennis. I'm sure your father was proud to have raised you judging by the way you turned out. You'll get through this. Take care of yourself.

My wife's father just passed last week. He returned to his hometown in his last months. The family came from all over the country to help in his care. It's just in their culture to do so. That is something we seem to have lost here. Good to see people like you still have a sense of responsibility to family. Oh, when I say all over the country I meant China. My wife is chinese, and they are in China now. I'm not religious at all, but 88 years of life just can't just dissipate. It's there somewhere, be it heaven or heart.... or both.
