OK, I got more pictures. It came out really nice. I will have pictures with it installed on a Warrior soon.

Looking good Teck. Looks like you will have your bike ready to go next riding season. Is BMS making your seat or are you having it done local? What are your plans for the seat?

The seat is done local, so the seat maker can measure everything properly, based on my body weight, foot position etc.
Once the tank is set on my bike and the front fender is fabricated, I will get the paint going and at the end I will have the seat fabricated by a guy in Montreal who does only motorcycle seats.

Not sure yet. I will see what the seat guy shows me as choices.
It will be 2 colors probably, black and electric blue to match the blue fire paint. What do you plan to have done to yours?

    blue fire

Haven't really decided yet. It will be awhile before I do any of this. Probably just some black leather with burgundy stitching to match the paint I want to use.

I like your choice of paint. It looks a lot like the paint job on my bike and I haven't gotten tire of it yet.

Whoa, your blue fire is awesome. It is hard to find decent painters who can make a true blue fire paint. I mean, making the pattern is not that hard, obtaining that electric blue finish (like the burning gas color) is.

This is how the new tank looks on the Warrior:

Once the seat is made to match the tank design, the 2 knees (that are still a little visible) will be masked completely.

Like I said on the other thread...WOW!!!Yes

New Rule- Nothing new goes on the bike...unless its Black!

**Yamaha has "officially" denied that the Midnight Warrior is equipped with a superior engine to the other colors, but that's because the lawyers told em' to say that.**

It uses the original bracket that came with the tank. You can have access to the screws from the side, with a regular wrench. I will buy a wrench, shave its arm by half and cover it with some velvet material, so I don't damage the tank when I take it off. I will get more pictures once I get the tank on my bike. The above pictures are taken at the BMS shop.

Re: Stretched gas tank for Warrior?

tech. i used a pop up flush cap and left the existing vents in place. the two nipples under the tank on the left front are connected to where the stock cap bolts to. there is no need to cut that out when putting in the pop up cap as the pop up is much smaller in diameter. this retains the factory venting. as for the tank stretch......its all personal taste. bms first tank looked much nicer than their second attempt. my 2ct . U will always have "knees" when the metal is in the raw, once licked from front to back and top to bottom, it will all blend, making one smooth flowing line. yes the entire tank will be licked with plastic, its the only way unless your jesse james. your tank now has a funny shape just above the '' knees'', sorta sinks in. a good body man can make it work. a think your first bms tank is done that way because its a bit shorter than the bike posted in the pics. the stretch you have now is going to significantly push you back in terms of seating position. Next up, you are going to want to make your own seat pan out of fibreglass, this will insure a perfect fit. its easy, i can help talk you through it. as for the covering, paul cox is your man, hes in brooklyn ny. he does all the top chopper guys in the country. and hes very reasonable. I know all of this because i have built my warrior myself, including stretching the tank. i also closed the front of the tank to make it tighter to the frame. I actually just finished the bike, took two years to complete and was built entirely from my wheel chair. i was waiting to post pics till i got my seat back, but i will put up pics so you can see all the details.
