    Right Side Hitch Cover Install

    Hello All,

Recently acquired this bike, and if I am not mistaken...this is my first post on this forum :).

First mods I installed were Church's VBAK and blocked off the AIS.  After searching, I have seen some hitch covers that looked pretty good on the side of people's bikes.  I want to experiment with some different covers on the right side to fill the void.  However, I am kind of at a loss on how exactly people are installing thier covers.  It doesn't seem like people are spending hours trying to attach these things, and I don't want to miss the obvious.

Can someone please post up a pic of thier mounting bracket assembly for putting a hitch cover on the right side?

    Thanks,

    ~James

To mount a hitch cover (as in pickup truck) or anything else for that matter, you have to make a bracket.  Just measure the distance between the holes where the old air cleaner box was and that will be your starting point.  Make the bracket out of something stiff enough (alum or sheet steel) and just cut and shape it to fit.  Drill holes or whatever in the bracket where you want to attach you new cover.  Just paint the bracket matt black or hi temp BBQ black and it will disappear into the black fins on the bike and your cover will stand out.  Paintig the bolt heads will also help to hide the bracket.

I know the voices aren't real, but they do have some good ideas.

i have not seen this yet but I think he means the covers that you put in your reciever tube when you don't have a hitch and ball in it.
