    Ready for new pipe

O.K I'm ready to buy a new pipe and I need your input, first what does a baffle do? do I get more power with or without it? I  saw a post about the V&H propipe with competition baffles so I'm assuming more power with it, Also I LOVE IT LOUD!! so louder with or without? power is more important than noise but NOT BY MUCH. the propipe sits lower than the swingarm so does it scrape when leaning hard? My bike is not lowered YET. So I guess what I want in a nutshell is massive power with earbleeding noise!

I have a used set of V&H bigshots in good condition if you decide on them. The bigshots are alot louder than the propipe.

    Good luck in you search.

    Re: Ready for new pipe

Ive got BUB jug huggers they came with baffles and two sets of power cones. I scrape them so I do not know if you want a set of them, but to answer your Question . you bike will make more power with some back presure. back presure comes from having some form of baffle. This is mostly true for torque. The warrior has plenty of that so if you are not running the strip, then get you pipes you like and play with the baffles till you find the one you like. Keep in mind if you change your pipes you will posibly need to change the fuel input. Power comander III is a good upgrade. My bike has a Big air kit and it caused a real cool sucktion sound on deccealeration like a backwards turbo. some willargue about the more power with backpressure. Go ask a dyno tech he will tell you what you want to know. Even better get you some pipes and take it to the dyno and try differant baffles and striaght pipe and make your own determination.

    Good luck

Is it loud and does it scrape? If the answer is yes and no then I want the propipe with competition baffles!

The Pro pipe is Loud enough and Yes it scrapes. There may be 3-4 pipes that do not scrape. Those would be the pipes that are upswept similar to the stock design. As for the Pro pipe when it starts scraping you have just about leaned the Warrior to its max and really do not want to lean any further or you will be scraping more then the pipe.

the wicked bros pipe has the " cool factor " look I like but I wonder about performance,  saw these pipes in the discounts section of the forum with a group buy.

The Speedstar 2-1-2 Megacone is very loud when you get on the throttle ! It is comparable to the Propipe for power AND it has lots of clearance! Awesome pipe if you can find one ! Couple other pics in gallery.

PS: When I did a rolling burnout in front of some of the sportbike guys downtown, they said that every girl for two blocks covered their ears !

Yep, speedstar is discontinued.  I just installed one and have to say I love it.  It is loud when you play, and reasonable when you ride nice.  Nicer to ride with than my Bub chambermaids since the sound is futher back.  Getting hard to find the 2-1-2 speedstar system anymore, so keep your eyes open.  Install wasn't that bad either, about 1 hr by myself.  Getting the footpeg loose was the hardest part of the entire operation.

I know the voices aren't real, but they do have some good ideas.

I want to die while asleep like my grandfather, not screaming in terror like the passengers in his car.
