the light is big enuf to do some cool stuff with, the people think black to go with the midnight look ,i think if you are going to paint it you might as well do some really custom work to it and put the tach in it but make it molded in and still have the just headlight look . i mean sink it in that housing if you get real tricky you can hide it in there like people are doing with the lights in fenders where everything is flush and you could make it lightly blacked out so when the dash isnt on it will just look like the headlight bucket that will be cool. cya btk572
