Im sorry you you think Im bullshitin you Pal ,and I was warned at the track about the wheelies, the only picture I have is the one posted in my gallery and the front end is just heading skyward and I never said I was scraping the fender you sound like a real smart guy so why dont you reread the post, and take a look in my gallery.and even my worst runs are 85mph + why dont you post what youve been doing at the track so I have a Goal to reach

Don't get all butt hurt - I was making a joke.  I did miss the 60 foot times in your post, sorry.  I have done several different motorcycle races and the drag racing was probably the most fun I have ever had!  I don't remember my times - they were nothing special as I am challanged on the scales.  However they were consistent enough to take home the hardware in the bracket class!

I was getting a little lift on my front - but nothing that was enough to need a wheelie bar.  I just leaned a little forward and it settled down.  Most of my wheelies were about 4-6 inches - just enough to get the weight on the rear wheel and get the old turd rolling.

great job, thats what bracket racing is all about . do the same thing every time and you get the goods ,times might not have been prostock fast but i dont think you would want to step off at the speed you were going, lol    congrats, btk572

You will have to let us know how those 'sweet azz wheelie bars' work out Big Smile

Call BS all you want - tone doesn't always come across in a forum post.  If I was trying to be an A-hole you would have known!

Wheelie enough to need a wheelie bar?  There is a group of Warriors that have gone racing a couple of times now.  Generally there are no wheelies, just a ton of wheel spin if you don't get your launch just right.  That is why I wanted to see how high his wheelie was - one because big wheelies are cool and too wanted to know more about his set up - not to bust his ballz, but to learn and maybe offer a little advice...

Kinda looks kewl n different...is it a direct bolt on or did you have to modify?

I'll bet that no one lines up to your bike on a red light without thinking twice.  Nice DIY.Yes

If its comfortable, its not custom.

I dunno I too think your wheelie bar is pointless.  Get rid of your robbing hp's big shots, a ton other weight you don't need and then go down the strip....Sure your fake wheelie bar may look cool but honestly there is no need.

The guy is tryin to show a DIY mod that he thought we might all like to see. I think its pretty innovative. ALSO- if you read his post you'll see that he admitted to be NEW to drag racing. In my book if the wheelie bar makes him feel more confident in his runs and it may possibly improve his e.t.'s then go with it. Personally if it were me though, I wouldn't be driving around with it on around town but it does make it hard to get it to the strip if your ridin the bike their. The welds would be much stronger than the bolts though and you wouldn't have to worry about stress fractures as long as the metal was prepared correctly before welding. The key would be to make sure you got good penetration WITHOUT blowing thru the metal or having to much heat. I don't think that you'd get enough stress onto the wheelie bar to have to worry about stress being a factor anyways. It's a pretty innovative mod and if he like's it then what does it matter? It's not like he's tryin to run pro-stock, he's out havin fun...d@mn...lighten up

I dunno why somone like you would run there mouth about hp  when my bike made as much hp and more torque than most of the bikes running pro pipes and other 2-1 systems,.And it did it with a stock air box, As far as the fake wheelie bar goes I wont even waste my time because I can tell your way smarter than I will ever be,so  why dont you  keep your totally negitive comments to yourself this site is is a good place lets keep it constructive.you must be an designer so give me some pointers Ill be looking forward to hearing from you. Also why dont you post up your time and speed from your trips to the dragstrip. Thanks

I notice almost half a sec difference thats why i made the comment.  And I am not bragging at all just trying to help you out. But 2008 at Rock Falls I did 12.522 @ 103.81 best run of the day that run had a 1.8 60ft earlier run had a 1.7 60ft. 2007 with the big shots I did 12.950 at 100.78 with a 1.9 60ft.  I am just saying i noticed a huge difference in power from the two.

Hey but enjoy the wheelie bar!  I've seen the warriors pull some huge wheelies, just nothing that I think its needed for. But like everyone has sad you did a mod your congrats!

I'll pm you my results from this years drags to see if it gets any better.

Those wheelie bars look like you hit some old lady over the head and stole her walker. Please tell me those aren't crutches strapped to the back of your bike.

    Seriously though, nice job!Yes
