since you have the pics posted in your gallery, you just right click on pic and save image location.  Then you click on pic icon and paste the image location on the url.  Set spacing and size and you're all set...

BTW, are you sure the fender stay location is strong enough?  Have you considered using the threaded holes/location on the side of the chassis/frame where the stock passenger pegs go?  Just a thought...

Are you allowed to strap down the front end where you run at?

Hello, yes we can strap the front but im trying not to, the drag racing at a track is a new thing for me Ive done it two nights now and both nights Ive ended with 7.8 @88.2 mph and 7.87 @86.53 the prostock guys said I can get this bike into mid to upper 90s if iI can get out off the line without standing on end so im doing one step at a time to get consistant and faster 60ft is averaging at 1.8 and 330 is5.1  and so far the 1/8 is at 7.8 -7.9 with some spin outs making times go up to 9.0 @ 85-86.5 so Im learning.Cool

I am calling bullsh!t without some pictures of these fender scraping wheelies!  If you are standing it on end, I want to see it - share those pictures!!  What are your 60 foot times?  What are you running your rear tire pressure at?  What is done to your bike - those pipes are not helping your ET I can tell you that!

Looks pretty good. For someone thats new to drag racing your 60 ft times are pretty good. I will warn you though....if your wheelie bar breaks at all on a hard launch its possible you'll get tank slap and fly off of the bike to the left or right. From the looks of your set up your joints are bolted and NOT welded. Personally I would weld them if it were me. I wish you the best of luck and hope you get better e.t.'s with your sweet DIY mod.

I wasn't sure if you noticed that he put down what he is averaging on his 60 ft times.  I don't think that's to bad for a newbie at the strip.

Sounds to me like you doing pretty good, especially seeing that you have only been to the track two nights.

Hi Terry, It is bolted I read that bolting will out last welding because you dont have to worry about stress cracks of course it was an article on snowmobile trailers they will inspect it at the track and wont let me run if they dont like it.Ive been riding around town with it on trying to break it no luck yet or should I say no bad luck, yet thanks for the heads up Im out to have fun not get hurtYes

You had better replace those aluminum bolts with harden steel, but then your still screwed due to the fact the female portion is aluminum as well. The wheelie bar needs to be attached to the frame and bolted & nut locked tight. I would not be to excited about taking that down a track with that set up. Seriously, be safe.

Re: built a sweet azz wheelie bar

Your funny Ed,Those are hardened bolts and the main beam is bolted to the frame the upper beam through the fender stay and if thats not strong enough for what im doing we may want to stop taking passengers. We can pick the bike up from the end of the wheelie bar, so I would assume just keeping the front down would put far less torque on it.You guys will be the first to know how it works.Big Smile
