First time at the track on a bike

Tonight  I was on my way home from a friends and stopped to watch the 1/8mile drags well I ended up barrowing a helmet and gloves so I could see how I liked it,Well its a blast  the last time I took anything down a drag strip was in 83 and it was a car!Wow its gonna take a couple more trips down the strip to get the hang of it.The first run I was off on a 12oclock wheelie and dont think it helped my time I ran a 8.2 at87.18 my worst was 9.3 at 82.4 and the best run was 7.8 at88.07  I thought I was being optimistic when I dialed in for 7.8 geuss not.Once I get the hang out getting out of the hole with out going straight up to 12 oclock wheelie I think I can run in the mid 7s in the 90s I post an update next Saterday and hopfully some pictures and slips.

Sounds like you had fun and learned a bit about the bike at the same time.  Congrats!

The Lesbians living next door gave me a Timex. I think they misunderstood when I said " I wanna watch. "

yup - street treads actually trap/retain water and is no good for the drag.....
